Sadie Sonzone
Sadie is a 4 year old pit bull/heeler mix we adopted from our local shelter. As 60 pounds she was a challenge to walk to say the least.
With no training and us being first time dog owners we turned to Long Island Dog Stars for help. We were met by the owner Phil who was very accommodating to our busy schedule. He presented their program for success and explained what was required of us. He took Sadie for a few moments and in that time Sadie started to obey his control. We new they were the right trainer.
Phil gave us handouts after every session so we didn’t have to remember what was done or what to do next. After the first week Sadie was showing huge improvement on the leash and as a bonus learned a few basic commands as well. A few weeks after that we learned what it was to be the pack leader and we got Sadie into really great habits. We also noticed her anxiety level dropped and she became relaxed.
LI Dog Stars was available for every issue or question we had, they responded quite quickly. We are very satisfied customers. Today Sadie’s parents very much enjoy walking with her.

What do you love most about your job?
I really love helping people have the best relationship possible with their dogs.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was certified in 2003 as a dog trainer and since then Ive been helping friends and family with their dogs and one thing led to another.

Private in home dog training sessions
The dog training sessions provided are in your home with you so I can evaluate your dog and how they behave where they live. Its important to begin training session in your home with little to no distractions and its also where your dog is most likely going to display any unwanted behaviors. After evaluating your dog I will build a dog training program catered to you and your dogs needs. All programs are designed to teach you how to train your own dog.
