I love Lili Salon! Lili has been cutting and styling my hair for about a year now and she always takes her time and listens to any concerns I may have with my many cowlicks! Lili is old school in that she treats her customers professionally, using high quality hair products, gives after care advice and individualizes her cuts to suit the client. I don't live in Sausalito. I was there for a friend's anniversary celebration, and since it was a dressy event I was looking for a blow-dry and makeup. I called Lili's and Ash was super helpful so I got an appointment. Lili was lovely. She did a bit of trimming on my cut and did my makeup. This was probably one of the nicest places I've been to get a haircut, the man who was cutting my hair, Ash, offered me a cappuccino and gave me a cookie! He was super friendly and really fun to talk to while I got my hair cut. The one thing I would say is you should let them know if you have a time constraint, my haircut took around 2 and a half hours. But he did take his time with diligence, he washed it and put in bond repair etc to help with hair damage, and some product in to soften it. After he blow dried my hair it was the softest and had the most body and volume, it was amazing. Then I found out the haircut cost $85 dollars lol, he mentioned it while blow drying and my HEART WENT IN MY THROAT, I mean I paid the money and everything but wow that was pretty pricey for just a trim. After being cancelled on by a stylist down the street that I had never met for a haircut, I literally wandered into Lili.s and asked Ash if he was available to give me a haircut "that minute ." Â Fortunately, for me he was. Â He sat me down, asked me about my hair, my time constraints and my styling. Â Then we chatted. Â Ash was meticulous about cutting my hair correctly. Â He began by cutting a quarter inch off of it while my hair was dry, then after giving my hair a bonus and much needed triple deep conditioning treatment, he cut the other 3/4 inch off and was very exacting. Â When I left, he asked me if I liked my cut (YES!) and reminded me that I could contact him if I woke up and felt differently (I won't). Â I thought that my hair was in good hands and that Ash did an amazing job. Â I will go back to Ash again. Thanks to the unnamed stylist who cancelled on me today! I can't say enough about Lili and her talents. I have thin, fine hair that likes to arrange itself in random curls. Lili has created a style for me that makes the best of all the challenges my hair presents. I've never had such consistently good and flattering haircuts, the type of haircut that falls into place even without styling. When it comes to color, Lili has an artistic eye. I've had great color, high lights and low lights. She's indulged my crazy style with some fun colors and makes everything beautiful. I've been going to Ash for a few years now and I love what he does with my hair! The entire experience from start to finish is all about me. The salon just moved and the new location is just down the street. Easy parking and I was taken in right away! I went to see Arash who added the most beautiful natural blond color to my hair! I'm so happy with the results, my hair looks amazing, healthy and shinny! He also trimmed my dead ends and shaped the front without cutting too much which is exactly what I wanted. If you are blond and tired of dealing with dry overexposed highlights and want your hair to grow longer go see him! He suggested color instead of my normal highlights and I'm so glad I took his advise! I am older and have grey hair - resistant to color and I often need retouching. Â Lili does my hair on a regular basis and it never looks overdone. Â The color is often commented on on the street and the raves keep coming. Â She takes her time and I always walk out feeling and looking 15 years younger. I'm writing this review on behalf of my mom. I live in Sausalito and my mom was in town visiting me for a week. She found Lili S salon while wandering around town and decided to go in to get her hair dyed (shhhhh! Don't tell anyone). Her stylist was Ash and he was so so nice and welcoming. She couldn't stop talking about what an enjoyable experience it was. That's the difference between good salons and great - both salons provide a service but great salons make it an experience. I just wanted to start off and say that Lili is the best at what she does. I am brunette and sometimes getting highlights can be a very daunting task at most salons to say the least. I've had some pretty bad experiences. Lili color corrected my hair and took out all the brass color in my hair from previous hair job done in another salon. She also added a good dimension of lowlights and highlights. It came out great although a week later after she did my hair I decided I wanted to go just a tid bit darker blonde and Lili said no problem and scheduled me to come in to tone my hair a smidgen darker. My hair looked great before it was just a matter of preference to have a more blended look. My hair looks amazing!!!! I have looked high and low for hair color expert and no one is as good as her! You definitely get what you pay for when you get your hair done at this place! I'm surprise there isn't that many reviews on her on yelp she is just fabulous and the salon has a relaxing ambiance about it! I walked in on a Wednesday with an absolutely horrendous color job from a salon in Mill Valley. I was desperate, but petrified to pick another salon. My best friend suggested that i go see Lili because she was able to give her dark brown hair the right ashy highlights that nobody else could achieve. I am 5'10 and my hair is down to my butt--It's ALOTTTTT of hair! Lili was able to get me in on Saturday between wedding gigs. She also explained the price upfront to color correct my very long hair. I really appreciated everything she said to me and how real she was without being offensive. She knew my hair pretty bad, but never made me feel bad about it. This is really important to me and stands out because i had spent the last week crying and obsessing over how terrible my hair looked. Come saturday, I brought in a picture of a beautiful woman with amazing unique highlights/lowlights--a tall order for my half (yes half) bleached sort of ombre hair. She agreed that this style would look good on me and asked if i could leave the picture up on my phone. Hours and hours later I left feeling fabulous because Lili was miraculously able to save my ombre by changing the tone, and giving me some pretty darn good highlights that really just pull the look together. The brown she used was spot on to my natural color, which is what I wanted to go for. I have been to Lilis twice now and have had the pleasure of having Lili cut my hair both times. She has done and incredible job! ! She will give wonderful suggestions and I have never received so many compliments on a haircut. Major improvements from my usual simple trim to long hair as Lili knows how to style your hair even if youre like me who sticks to washing and letting your hair air dry and usually putting your hair up. I've now been wearing my hair down daily and it feels GREAT!! I called last week to get a last minute haircut before a trip and Lili herself stayed to make sure she could accommodate me. OK- Â let me tell you about my girl Aimee- the queen of waxing! This gal is amazing! I've been going to her for 5 years now to do wax/tints on my brows and lashes. She has this crazy way of being able to fix the weird cowlick in one of my eyebrows, she tints my blond eyelashes and brows the perfect color- not "WTF?" black, but a dark brown so they are seen. Back in the day, when she was at Benefit, I would watch her work on multiple people at the same time and each person would come away with a different shape brow to fit their face shape- it was fascinating and flattering to know that not everyone in Marin was walking around with the exact same brow shape! I've lived in Sonoma County for two years now, and still make the hour drive to Aimee because I can trust no one else. Not only that, she's down to earth and fun to be around and doesn't mind if I rush in for an appointment smelling like horse and with my hair in a ball cap. I had a fantastic experience at Lili's Salon & Spa today.First, I was able to obtain an appointment within 15 minutes of calling to book. Second, my hair was shampooed, cut, and expertly styled by Lili within 45 minutes. She also recommended an awesome anti-frizz product, which I purchased once I saw the wonders that it (and Lili's styling, which I'm praying I can replicate!) worked on my hair. Pam was very thorough with my skin and gave me a fabulous foot and arm massage. I usually prefer the neck and shoulder massage with a facial, but Pam made me feel spectacular. My skin was refereshed after teh express facial. Pam even took the time to make my facial last a bit longer and made me feel pampered. It is a bit expensive for a 40 minute facial but Pam was honest and not a hard sell on anything which is the best. I just want my skin to renew, not be told what products to use or not. Thanks! Pam is amazing and truly a gifted artist!!! I was on a business trip staying in Sausalito. A day before I was getting ready to return back to Europe, I wanted to get a facial done so one of the local recommended me Lilis spa. I went in without appt. and asked for brochure  and checked the price than I asked the front desk person if some one is available to do ultrasound facial for 90 mins that was appealing to me. Pam who is the esthetician came out from the treatment room and fit me in her busy schedule.  I got connected with her positive energy and than she showed me her treatment room and explained me the type of  product she uses and what are the benefit from ultrasound machine that she was going to use on my face, also she asked me if I am allergy to any products that she should know before she will start the treatment. I was so impressed with her knowledge and the work she did on my face. My face felt so nice and smooth I kept on  starring myself in the mirror  I thought I had mini facelift . I just went to Lili for the first time last night. Â I just moved to Mill Valley from NYC/CT and heard from a friend that Lili was the best. Â So true! Â Not only was she willing to give me a 6:30pm appointment (I work in the city), but she fit me in the day after I called! Â She was honest about my hair's texture, listened to what I wanted/needed from my style (easy to style, flattering, and polished), and then SHOWED me how to use the right products and blow dry in the best way for my hair! Â I have always wondered why stylists don't do this - it HELPS me and makes me trust you! Â SO - Lili did an amazing job!
