What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
To make the image tell a story. You dont want your viewer to focus more on your post production and how you edit your image. You want them to focus on your subject and feel like theyre part of the story.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
As a wedding photographer, my first question to my brides is, “what do you expect from me as your wedding photographer?” This gives me a starting point of what theyre expecting for their images. This then allows me to show them my style, way of capturing their special day. This makes sure we’re all on the same page. By doing this early on, it allows both parties to decline services, long before the wedding.
What do you love most about your job?
I love capturing those special moments. My wife and I spend our time capturing all those special moments during your wedding, but we also make sure to capture those little details also.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My journey in photography started back in 2007, capturing live images of my friends who were playing in local bands here in town. From there I’ve been given the chance to capture images of some of the biggest names in Rock N’ Roll. Alongside concert photography, my wife and I have always provided our area with both Wedding and portrait photography.
