Jimmy and Joe came by on a holiday afternoon, New Years day, to examine why my central AC unit had been short cycling lately. Thru my own personal research I knew it could be only be due to 1 of 5 reasons. After looking at the unit for only a couple mins they figured out the problem right away and recharged my unit with R-22 and replaced the capacitor. My unit was good to go again and they gave me great advice for keeping my unit in good shape. They recommended an eventual upgrade to my central AC unit mostly due to outdated R-22 and small leak but I while work toward saving money for the upgrade. I at least have some peace of mind that my existing unit will be fine until I can replace it. More...

I can confirm the positive reviews - Jimmys is the real deal - from scheduling to service, I had a positive experience!Our AC stopped working in our condo (*ugh*). Â I called a number of vendors in town, including Jimmys. Â Joe answered the call and from greeting to call completion, he was someone who obviously was trained on good phone etiquette the company wanted to exhibit.Note for cost-oriented Yelpers: $98 for inspection/troubleshooting call. Jimmy himself was able to come out the next day to inspect the AC. Â He spent about 2.5 hours on-site in a professional manner. Â He not only allowed me to "hover" behind him but also explained the various troubleshooting steps he was taking and how the system worked. Â Despite all efforts and provision of additional refrigerant, he was not able to get the system working. Â (It looks like an electronic control board that is the issue.)He said if he could not fix it, he would not charge me the troubleshooting time nor for the supplies he used (which was substantial). Â He refused payment, but I tried to pay him anyway - great personality, service, education, and attempts to restore service.Despite the outcome, I would hire him again and recommend Jimmy and his company to family and friends for the attitude and service! Been struggling trying to find an honest residential AC technician, I have dealt with so many shady technicians over the years here on Oahu. Â I know I had a slow freon leak within my central air system. Looked Jimmy up here on yelp and he had great reviews, so I figured I would give him a shot, and I am so glad I did. Â WOW!!!! Very impressed, very professional, very knowledgeable, passionate, stand up guy. Â Came out the next day, did a diagnostic check, and recommended a few options to me at a very decent price. Â I could tell that he was looking out for my best interest and not trying to up sell me on purchasing an entire new system to make quick cash like the last few technicians told me would be the only way to fix my problem. Â Within an hour, performed the work of the option I chose. Â My hale is nice and cool again. UPDATE: Upon calling Jimmy on Friday to let him know of the repair mishap, I've been rescheduled for an appointment on Wednesday. Here's to hoping 5 days without AC doesnt drive me insane, lol.----------------------------------NOTE: This review isnt a complete review and subject to update.Its summer - it's hot - its humid - and if things couldnt be better, my Mitsubishi Air Conditioning unit has gone down. Some back history: the unit is pretty much new. Purchased new and installed 2 years ago. Havent had any issues with it, until now.I contacted Jimmy and he was quick to come to my home to provide service on my split AC unit. Im a big believer in supporting local businesses.He is very helpful and is happy to answer questions over the phone. I scheduled an appointment and, although a bit after scheduled (due to traffic), Jimmy and his apprentice Joe, arrived excited and eager to get started.Before I say more on anything else, I'd just like to say, Joe, is a very personable and friendly guy. I've encountered many repair people in my life and I have to say, Joe (and Jimmy) are both very professional.Moving on - Jimmy did a brief diagnosis on my unit and determined what the issue was. He gave me options for repair, ranging in cost and made suggestions based on short term, long term and cost. Based on what Jimmy explained and recommended, I went with that. My AC is now blowing cold air.Jimmy called me less than 24 hours later to check on the repair. This is where I told him that it was running fine for approximately 18 hours before the issue came back. He quickly scheduled me for another appointment, waiving another diagnostic fee.Payment: You can pay via check or credit card (credit payments are paid online; they invoice you at the end of service via email)Aside from my repair failing, Jimmy and Joe are great and clearly know what they are doing. Well deserving of a 5 star review. The only reason for the lower star review is because the repair isnt completed (needs to be revisited) and I cant attest to something that hasnt happened yet, haha. Called Jimmy on a Saturday evening and he was at our house by noon on Sunday. Â He diagnosed a leak in the system, recharged it and was done within an hour. Â $150 per hour weekend rate. Jimmy was the only one to answer my call and was able to come out the very NEXT day!! I described my problem to him and he was very knowledgeable on what it may be. I wasn't able to be at home for the repair, however my fiancé said Jimmy and his associate were very polite and performed a very thorough cleaning job. Jimmy came out to clean our split AC unit, and I was immediately impressed with his diligence and professionalism. He spent hours ensuring the job was done right. When we needed a repair to one of our units in the future, we called Jimmy the night we noticed the issue. He called us back immediately, came out the next day without hesitation and fixed the problem. He checked in the following day to ensure the unit was still functioning properly. Jimmy and his team came in on a rescue mission on July 4th. Our AC went out, called our regular maintenance and weren't available til next week, called around but just couldn't get anyone to come out sooner let alone have the part in hand. Jimmy showed up at a much needed time especially the crueling heat in Ewa Beach. Fixed our AC on a HOLIDAY and got it to work. 2 nights without an AC was unbearable! THANK YOU Jimmy!!
