About

My interest and enthusiasm about coaching others, stems from years of helping people to recognize within themselves the strengths and values they hold and how to express them for positive gain.
Coaching is a safe way to help people tap into their inner resources and to guide them to become productive people whose values in life meet their actions.

Working with Ivor is a great experience. He has a rather joyful side to him, but more importantly, will listen intently and ask the right questions. I've been engrossed in a topic and when he asks a question, I come to a sudden stop and realize something new. Thank you, Ivor, for everything. Great Coach, great man! More...

Ivor's innate desire to understand your perceived roadblocks is what makes him such a strong coach. He embodies the philosophy of seeking first to understand, then be understood. His professional ability to hold a space of grace, curiosity, wisdom, and compassion, he allows his clients to explore themselves in a way that is deeply beneficial. Lastly, his humorous yet direct communication style of articulating what is not being said (i.e. calling you out on your s***) creates a heightened level of trust and relief to know you're not alone and he wants you to be your true self.

I can recommend him highly as a coach.

It was a very valuable session with Ivor because he creates a safe place to share, and is so supportive. I will continue with follow-up sessions as he helped me gain personal awareness on a deeper level, and helped me to establish next steps towards achieving my goals. I already feel like his insights have helped me with specific skills. I would highly recommend him as a coach. More...

This was a unique interactive way to explore an area in my life that I want to improve. The outcome of the coaching was to develop a list of items we created that I am pursuing in order to begin addressing the improvements I hope to make.

Q&As

What I love most about coaching is when a client's mind opens up to a new thought, new idea, new attitude or a new approach to a problem they have tried to resolve. It is not the resolution of the problem that I love as much as the change in the clients way of seeing the problem and finding new ways to work out the solution. Being a part of that process with another person, is what I love about my job.

I have always been in my own practice of medicine but what inspired me to become a life coach was when I realized how my own clients/patients could make changes through coaching. I wanted to be a part of their journey to help them reach their goals. Hence I trained as a co-active coach and started my coaching "business".

I should be chosen because of my professional experience as a physician and counselor during which time I have helped patients with substance use disorders to find recovery and abstinence as well as adding fulfillment to their lives. I have also worked as a correctional medicine physician where I have counseled multiple unfortunate people to make changes in their lives for their betterment. Furthermore I have been involved in a spiritual program and feel I have a very broad and universal view of people, life and behavior. All these experiences make me a better coach and physician and person. I believe I have the skills to guide people in coaching to help them find paths to "move them on" from a place of being "stuck". Clients who are looking for insight, guidance, compassion and even spirituality, along with the wisdom I have gained over the years, should choose me. Thank you.
