I absolutely ADORED this venue in I'On! It is super quaint, elegant, and classy which is exactly what we were going for. The price for the value was unbeatable and Pam was great to work with- very kind, responsive, and easy to work with! I would highly recommend working with Pam and choosing I'On Meeting House for any event! However, if you are looking to have a wedding reception there after the ceremony, I would only recommend 50 people or so even though the venue fits 125 people for a ceremony. More...

Sadly, my fiance and I had to cancel our wedding due to the entire COVID 19 Pandemic. Our reception venue had to cancel on us as they could not abide by the social distancing ordinance for our 25 guests. At this time, we can not reschedule as we are still currently living in a situation of uncertainty, and do not wish to put any of our guests at risk health wise. We provided more than a months notice prior to our cancellation. In light of the current extenuating circumstances, a full refund of our deposit would have been the right thing to do. Instead, our $500.00 deposit was kept. We have since followed up regarding the refundable $150.00 for cleaning expenses. Obviously, with no venue taking place, there was no clean-up. There has been no response from either Pam, or the owner of Ten Thousand Years, LLC. We are already deeply saddened by the fact that we had to cancel our wedding. Making no concessions, in light of the Pandemic, seems unjust. I would not ever recommend this venue in the future. More...

We had to cancel our reception due to covid-19. This was the only venue who refused to work with us on our deposit. I guess you get what you pay for. It was the most affordable place we could find anywhere. It had its short comings. The place was a bit dated inside and there appeared to be a lot of restrictions on things you could not do because of neighborhood complaints. Every other vendor gave us a full refund. We had scheduled a food truck for the reception and thought it would be nice to give back to local business by donating our deposit to the food truck, allowing them to use it to serve the local community on our reception date. Not only would Pam not refund or work with us, she flat out wouldn't respond. I'll be keeping a close eye on this venue for the day of our reception. As per their contract, they only issue refunds if the location is rebooked on our date. It's just a sad shame that during these times, they weren't willing to find a better solution. I would strongly suggest avoiding this location and read the contract carefully. The human factor means nothing to these people. More...

Pam was wonderful to work with, and made booking our venue and setting up our space the easiest part of our planning process! We planned our wedding in three months, and even in such short time we were able to have exactly what we wanted with this gorgeous venue. Pam was available to let us see the venue when we needed to, and helped us figure out how we should use the space to best fit our needs. We used this venue for both the ceremony and the reception, and it was the perfect place for our special day! More...

Not only is this venue absolutely beautiful, but Pam at I'On Meeting House is such a pleasure to work with! She is warm, friendly and very organized. She was happy to answer our many questions and very knowledgeable as well. She was quick to respond to correspondence and also so flexible when we needed to make minor changes in scheduling. She certainly created ease with our planning process. She was a warm and calming presence the day of our wedding ceremony as well. In addition, the venue is absolutely stunning. It created such a bright, warm and intimate setting for our wedding ceremony which was everything we were hoping for! In addition, the venue provides just the right flexibility to allow you some creative control of your layout and overall look. We would highly recommend I'On Meeting House for any occasion! More...

We got married at the I’On Meeting House just this past December and we couldn’t have picked a better venue. Pam was so amazing to work with; very responsive, professional, and accommodating to all of our needs. She let us come by as many times as we needed to check out the place which was very helpful for planning, and she was also in attendance the day of the wedding. She helped behind the scenes so much that day. The number of attendees was about 40 people, and it was the perfect amount to hold both the ceremony and the reception all in the same building. We highly recommend this place, whether it be for only the ceremony or only the reception, or any other kind of event. The pictures came out beautiful both inside and outside of the building.
Thanks for everything, Pam!!

We rented the I'On Meeting House for my son's rehearsal dinner. It was perfect for the occasion. The tall windows allow natural sunlight in during the day and the beautiful light fixtures provide a nice ambiance for the evening. The interior architectural detail is fabulous and adds a special touch to the venue. The facility manager was fabulous to work with throughout the planning phase as well as the day of the event. I would highly recommend this facility to host any type of event. More...

Where do I start.. Ms.Pam worked with me right off the bat and was very responsive to my emails and text messages. We held my sisters Kentucky derby baby shower theme event at the venue and it was a hit! All of the guest loved how beautiful everything was set up and how lovely the venue was. The only thing that felt weird and made a few of the guest uncomfortable was the mere fact Ms.Pam lingered around the event for the entire time and it seemed as if she needed to watch our every move. But nevertheless everybody enjoyed. More...

Pam is the venue manager and she was so helpful during our planning process. This venue is perfect for a wedding of 100 guests or less and is a great blank slate to decorate it to suit your wedding theme. We help our ceremony inside, and set up a tent out on the lawn for a cocktail hour while the inside of the venue was flipped for dinner which worked out perfectly. This venue was also one of the most affordable options during our search! We also loved staying at the Inn at I'On which made getting ready and getting to the venue super convenient. I would highly recommend this venue! More...

Wonderful ceremony venue! This location was perfect as I held my reception at the Creek Club, but did not want an outdoor ceremony. The Meeting House is beautifully quaint, with elegant simplicity. Pam was responsive from the start, quickly answering all of my questions. The site was clean, ready on time and there were no surprises. You really have to see it to understand how beautiful it is. It’s suitable for relatively smaller ceremonies (Less than 130). I already love how the photos have turned out! Highly recommend! More...

We had the best time celebrating our son’s rehearsal party at the I’On Meeting House. The venue was beautiful and working with Pam Martin was a delight. Her professionalism, flexibility and kindness was above our expectations. She responded to every phone call and/or email immediately and had all the answers as well as great recommendations. She even eased our concerns regarding bridge traffic during the 526 shutdown, which was out of everyone’s control. We enjoyed working with Pam and highly recommend her and this venue to anyone planning any event. Thank you Pam for making our celebration worry free and going above and beyond to assist us during our celebration of our son and his new bride as they begin their new adventure together. We had our annual client appreciation event at the I'On Meeting House and I don't think I could have picked a more perfect venue! Pam worked with us and offered so many options. She responded quickly, she was flexible, and overall, a huge help in our planning process. As for the venue.. the I'On Meeting House is intimate, and allows for creativity and use of the indoor and outdoor space. We had over 100 people, a musician, 2 large oyster tables outside (under a tent), 2 bars, 6 large seating tables, 10 cocktail tables (none of which included the multiple food tables) and we still had room for our guests to comfortably mingle. Also, you are definitely not going to find a place as wonderful as this in Charleston for the price of the I'On Meeting House. We are looking forward to working with Pam in the future. Thank you for everything!I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a wedding or corporate space. More...

Last fall, I attended a series of lectures related to the founding and development of I'On and other similar neighborhoods in our country. The lectures were held at the Meeting House in I'On Square. For me, this was an easy walk from my home. The setting was warm and comfortable and very conducive to listeing to the speakers and seeing their visuals as well as participating in the Q and A sessions that followed. Each occasion felt a bit like sitting in a large living room for the shared learning experience, which was certainly preferable to the institutional feel of a traditional classroom or office conference space. For over a year, I have been involved with a group of neighbors that is planning I'On At Home, which will be an aging in place/Village organization for the neighborhood. We are holding a community educational meeting later in February, and the Meeting House will be the venue. The setting is perfect for our program that will include speakers, a video, a Power Point presentation, and discussion among those present. We look forward to this event and are grateful for the interest of the Meeting House in supporting this new neighborhood initiative. More...
