I would NOT recommend their catering services at all. I order food for a event to be delivered at 12:30pm for an event that started at 1:00pm. They did not arrive until almost 2:00pm. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely cold, and took nearly 30 minutes to reheat. The event was scheduled to be over at 3:00pm, however, we paid for additional time since the food was nearly an hour and a half late. I reached out to the owners to rectify the situation, I received no response and not even an apology the day of. This is EXTREMELY unprofessional and ridiculous. I love supporting African-American businesses, this is why we chose this catering company so it’s disappointing that the events of that day transpired and management did not do their part to rectify the situation. Their food was good once it was finally reheated but the professionalism of a this business is not worth the hassle. I WOULD NOT recommend going to this business to ANYONE in the surrounding area. They were okay but they didn't really care where they seated us. They weren't busy when we went & the food took longer because they either messed up or didn't have menu items (which the waitress should've told us before ordering but she was nice about it). I was excited to try the famous Mac & cheese but it tasted burnt, not sure if they were rushing or didn't care enough to check then the Hoodfella fries tasted like nothing special. The bill was overpriced and nothing was taken off, just apologies from the waitress when it wasn't even her who cooked the food. Vibe and environment is A1 Ira is one of the best owner's. He greeted and spoke with us the whole night. I ordered the lamb chops with sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese. My appetizer was the steak loaded fries. My drinks I got the Maryland mule which was 100% and the royalty I ordered was more juice like but the hood fellas was the one. Food was great, BLACK OWNED . Gorgeous atmosphere as soon as you enter friendly service from the employees wait staff was very attentive. My drinks was delicious food came out promptly. My son ordered chicken tenders best ever. My salmon was perfectly seasoned tbh I thought I would've had more for the price but anywho my daughter Alfredo was bomb. Hoodfellas is a marvelous restaurant addition to Downtown/Mt Vernon area. They are very hospitable and courteous. The menu is classic American. Their wings tossed with garlic Parmesan are top notch. The Ribeye Steak (very reasonable at $26.00) was cooked to a perfect medium rare. They are located only minutes away from the entrance of the Inner Harbor & The Charm'tastic Mile. This is a happy addition to downtown. Did breakfast and was pleased they have vegetarian sausage. My coworker loved breakfast sandwich had bacon AND sausage. I have also done their salmon wrap,shrimp and grits,and seafood medley and been quite pleased. More...

What inspired you to start your own business?
We are a proud African American-owned restaurant that started in the inner city of Baltimore, MD. Staying true to our origins is how " Hoodfellas " was born. We strive to be an example for our youth; showing them that greatness is in all of us, as long as you work hard at it and apply yourself.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are native Baltimorains that grew up in the city and love to serve our community. We treat our customers like family and cater to them accordingly. The food we serve is seasoned to perfection and has a large serving to feed your soul. We want all of our customers to receive the bang for their buck.

Unfortunately not, We are a full-service restaurant that provides food and alcoholic beverages that must be picked up or delivered.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All customers are required to wear a mask when entering until seated. All employees are required to wear masks throughout their entire shift and they are temperature tested at the beginning of their shift to identify if they have any covid symptoms.

We offer a variety of food for our customers to choose from that consist of but are not limited to American, Seafood, Soul Food, and Italian Cuisine. We deliver and serve bulk meals & orders to clients based on their menu selection and event type. In addition, we offer a full bar of alcoholic beverages that we can include in your package price.
