Hey Cupcake has the cutest outdoor setup at night. I visited close to closing so the menu was limited. I expected this and was not disappointed. I like to visit bakeries that sell fresh items and know that this means that there is not an unlimited supply. When I walked up I was greeted by a friendly employee with a big smile. I ordered three traditional flavor cupcakes... chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. The chocolate is made with chocolate cake and has chocolate buttercream frosting. The vanilla cupcake also had vanilla buttercream frosting and the strawberry changed things up with strawberry cream cheese frosting. All of the cupcakes were regular size and very moist. The buttercream frosting was not overly sweet and taste very fresh. The cream cheese frosting was also good but it had a little after taste that stuck with me. More...

I ordered cupcakes and a birthday cake for a family reunion held in Black Mountain in late July! Both were delicious and our group of 40+ people raved over them! What a fun treat on South Congress! We stumbled upon this place as we were visiting a couple murals next door. The guy working was super friendly and helpful. The cupcake I got which was a classic vanilla, was huge and soooo delicious. The cake was dense and flavorful and the homemade icing was to die for! Plus, it made for the perfect prop for fun photos. Walking through congress, we decided to stop by and give this place a try! We each (5) got a different cupcake and nobody could decide whom had received the best one! We had red velvet, lemon blueberry, strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. We also received two cookies and cream ice cream cups.It was a great snack on a hot and humid day. I'm not a big fan of cupcakes or frosting but after one bite, I couldn't stop!! I ordered a strawberry sweetberry cupcake and a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream. The strawberry sweetberry cupcake was amazing! The frosting was just the right amount of sweet and not overpowering at all. The actual cupcake part was the perfect texture and had so much flavor. I could not believe it!The cookies and cream ice cream was great, they added whipped cream to the top and it was delicious!The locations sits on a cute corner with tables and benches that sit on fake grass. Yes, it tastes as good as it looks. Make sure you get all the ones you want because they they could be gone so quick we had got some for ourselves and when we finally aligned with our moral compass and went back an hour later to bring extras home the flavors we wanted were gone We should have been thinking nicer from the get go buuuuut I'm glad we got ours!

Cupcakes are good, not great. I like their strawberry frosting. The man at the trailer had an adorable little girl with him who I can only assume was his daughter. Cute little food truck or should I say cupcake truck lol they have quite a bit of unique flavors and the 2 I have tried so far are delicious. I tried the sweet berry and the red velvet cupcake. A fun little stop along Congress Street!The cupcakes were good and the flavor was rich. I had the tuxedo cupcake. There were several traditional flavors to choose from, unfortunately there wasn't any type of specialty cupcake or anything that was unique to them. It seemed like you could've got these cupcakes anywhere else. However it was a cute location and a tasty cupcake. My boyfriend and I saw this little cupcake truck on our way to Home Slice Pizza and I knew that I HAD to have it for dessert after. There were a lot of options and we both had trouble deciding which ones we wanted. I'd try all if I could, but I don't think my waistband would allow it..The girl there was very nice and friendly. She was in the middle of cleaning and taking out the trash when we walked in but she explained each flavor to us and told us her recommendations. I ended up going with Red Velvet and my boyfriend got The Tuxedo. They're both moist, flavorful, sweet but not too sweet, and just the perfect treat for the day. My boyfriend even thought that it was the best cupcake he's ever had.I've read the reviews and comments about the price and I have to say that $3.50 for a cupcake ISN'T bad. This is a normal price for cupcakes anywhere. However, I do believe that it IS smaller than others. So I understand where the debate is coming from.The cupcakes were good and the service was great. If we're in Austin we'll definitely try the other flavors. I just wish the cupcakes were a little bigger because I just can't get enough of them!P.s.
