Andrew and Caroline are wonderful. We did the in home training for my reactive rescue. Heidi was mainly reactive towards men she would lunge, bark, and growl even from a good amount of distance. Heidi is also timid and skittish. We tried positive training with another trainer with hot dogs and cheese but Heidi got worse. I found Andrew at the dog park and he explained to me about the e collar and how it works as balanced training and not negative training. At the time I worked at an animal hospital and the doctor was very against e collar training because she saw it as a “shock” collar. The e collar has 100 levels and Heidi works at a 6 everyday she has improved dramatically isn’t reactive anymore, she can place, and heels well with distractions. Heidi May have a bad day every two weeks and will react toward one person but will correct herself as soon as she gets corrected. Highly recommend them. Andrew would let me walk with him at rio as well if I needed extra help with anything and I know I can always text him if I need any advice or help. More...

A++!! Best decision we ever made for our 1.5 year old 70-lb dog. Our dog was as stubborn as they come - it was hard to walk him, hard to eat dinner without him constantly begging, etc. After 1 week of the Day Train program with Good K9 Academy, our pup has quickly learned his manners and it has really made a world of difference for us!! Our dog no longer pulls on the leash, heels nicely, stays in "place" while we eat dinner, and we are all happier and calmer on walks. It is clear that Andrew and Caroline genuinely care about dogs - they are firm but affectionate, very knowledgeable, and very patient with helping to train us as owners also! Highly recommend. 5 Stars. Highly recommend. I will be bringing our future family dogs to the Good K9 Academy. Marvel started training at 6 months old and graduated as the youngest pup to complete the day training program. She now knows basic commands as well as some advanced skills. Starting as a puppy has given her the confidence and BEST foundation to live the happiest and freest life she can live. She is focused on walks, socialized properly, and obedient. Andrew makes himself available and a trusted resource. Not only does he make the dog feel comfortable but he made us, owners, comfortable leaving our little girl with him. My baby girl COCO just graduated their 2 week board and train. Coco was highly reactive towards people and other dogs and would pull extremely hard on our walks. After the 2 weeks of training coco came back very happy and trained. I’m proud to say , she come when called , and is not reactive towards people or other dogs. We brought our 1 year old dog to Good K9 Academy because it was difficult to walk him on a leash without pulling. It was hard to walk him past other dogs and even people without him pulling and jumping at them in excitement. After just the first session we knew we had made the best decision bringing him here! Now after 4 lessons, our dog can sit in place and lay in down for long periods of time without becoming anxious. He is now heeling and doesn’t pull at the site of another person or dog. I brought my dog, Kekoa, to their team for the 2 week board & train program. He was becoming reactive on our walks and pulled on his leash. They treated him like their family, communicated closely and sent photo updates during his stay. I felt like I had picked up a new dog- he was no longer reactive or pulling! We are delighted to have chosen Good K9 Academy to train our 3 1/2-year-old Samoyed dog, Taffy. Andrew and Caroline live and breathe for dogs, and it shows. After getting lots of great recommendations from our neighbors, we chose the two-week board and training program for Taffy. Caroline and Andrew took Taffy to their home, and with tons of love, skill, and hard work, they transformed Taffy’s behavior. Due to her breed, Taffy is strong-minded, independent, sassy and defiant. Caroline and Andrew patiently worked on all of her issues, and our Taffy Girl became a real lady! She is much calmer, more confident, obedient, and fun to be with. She doesn’t pull us anymore, doesn’t bark at other dogs, and doesn’t freak out whenever a bus or motorcycle drive by. At home, we can now watch TV without fearing Taffy’s barking and attacking the TV. We can open our front door or garage without worrying she will run away into the street. Caroline and Andrew spent 12 hours a day working with our Taffy. They sent us daily pictures and videos of Taffy, documenting her progress and explaining her issues to us. Many of those pictures showed Taffy getting belly rubies in the morning, and laying down on her cot at the end of a hard workday. While we missed her so much, we knew she was getting all the love and attention from Andrew and Caroline. They are not only great dog trainers. They are dog lovers. We put our dog Toby in training with Good K9 Academy and it was the best decision we made for our dog. In two weeks time our dog learned how to sit, come, place, heel, down, etc. , on command. Before Toby was very difficult to walk and bring into a public situation. Now he is so good in public that we are confident to take him anywhere!!! Our Belgian Malinois "Rocco" did the 2 week board and train with Good K9 and I have to say, the results are amazing!!!! The change in Rocco's behavior is astonishing. It is so awesome to take him for walks now that it is no longer a torturous task, it is fun and people are amazed at how well behaved he is. He heels right beside us and even though we have to have a leash, it is just an accessory. He comes when called and doesn't run off like he used to, even when other dogs or people walk by. Peele was reactive on leash and now can walk off leash and not even be bothered by other dogs. We are amazed at the results.
