I had the opportunity to try a gluten-free cupcake there this week and OMG! It was so delicious! A friend actually picked it up for me and the texture was so fluffy - not at all gritty like most gluten free cakes - that I assumed he had actually bought a regular cupcake instead of the gluten-free version. But nope - it actually was GF (no symptoms) and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it! Drove over all the way to Gigi's Cupcakes in Lexington... The kids was so excited and rambling on so fast to the lady to in line ahead of us and the employees and so I had to explain that my birthday was a week ago and the kids heard me say I wanted a Gigi's cupcake for my birthday and that we was their so they could get me one from them to me for my birthday present. The lady inline ahead of said "that was nice and Happy belated birthday". I said thank you. As the kids was trying to pick their own cupcake each the lady ahead of us had left and another had come in behind us and was talking to Serenity about the strawberry cupcake she was looking at. The lady behind the register come over and said the lady who left had left $20 as a birthday present toward our cupcakes. I said " Oh my, that was so sweet ". We chose our 3 cupcakes and she rang them up. There was still over $8 left and when the lady tried to hand it to me I leaned over and told her to pay it toward the lady behind us order. Then walked out. I buckled the kids up and when I turned around one of the Gigi's employees was behind me and asked " was you the one who paid on the next ladies order?" I said " yes ". Then the employee raised up a small box of a dozen mini assortment cupcakes and said " we wanted to give these to you ". I thanked them so much for them. It was such a wonder gift all the way around. Thank you to the lady and Gigi's Cupcakes employees in Lexington for such wonderful gifts and kind hearts. My kids and I appreciate it. More...

Today is my mother’s 90th birthday, she was just moved into a nursing home yesterday, now in quarantine and will be without family on her big day, but she has been alone months now. Kim at Gigi’s is going to insure my mom has a birthday cake today even though there are no food delivery services available and even though it is a last minute order.
