I would absolutely recommend Four Legged Care, especially Rebekah for dog training and dog walking/pack hikes. We recently got a Dalmatian puppy and I knew we needed help so he could be trained the right way. We started off with individual training sessions and when he was fully vaccinated we enrolled him in 6 weeks of the all star puppy academy. It was absolutely worth the investment. He is 7 months old now and has the foundations of commands, loose leash walking and recall off leash. Rebekah takes him for pack hikes 1 or 2 times a week so he gets exercise and socialization with other dogs. I cannot say enough good things about this business and their employees. If I could give six stars, I would. We recently adopted a rescue puppy and were so excited but extremely nervous as we already had a six year old dog at home and weren’t sure how he was going to react. Katelyn and Rebekah provided us with the knowledge, tools and skills to be able to navigate the changes that come along with a new family addition seamlessly. Not only have they been phenomenal resources for us, but they have also gone above and beyond by every definition and have been there as a support system through some tough behavioral and medical issues. They have helped me assess every situation that has presented itself with extreme care and attention to detail. Not only have they given us everything we’ve needed to navigate whatever surprise our dogs have thrown at us each week, but they’ve also been extremely supportive when our priorities shift and we need to adjust our focus on with our dogs, whether that be with day school or training sessions. We brought them in for an introduction when we brought our puppy home to meet our dog. At that time, we didn’t have a solid training plan in place and didn’t anticipate committing to using a company. From day one, I saw the unconditional support Four Legged Care was going to give us and they quickly became a part of our dogs lives. Our dogs now wait by the window for their training sessions or days at school, and I could not be happier with the experience we have had. Fast forward four months, we ended up getting ANOTHER PUPPY and I know that would have never been feasible if we didn’t make the decision to work with FLC. Athena and I have been working with Rebeka for 6 months now and I cannot express how amazing she has been! This has been a long road for us, but Athena has come so far and we wouldn't be where we are now without Rebeka's continued help and support. Athena is extremely overstimulated, very high energy and has trouble focusing so training hasn't always been easy. It was hard for me to take her for walks or out in public because of how reactive she is toward cars and other dogs. I wasn't able to get or keep her attention at all. Rebeka taught me how important exposure is for Athena which has improved her behavior in public. She is less reactive now. I can take her into public and get her to sit and remain focused on me even when cars and dogs are around. Leash training hasn’t always been easy, but once Rebeka found the tool that is right for Athena, she is more focused and is pulling a lot less. Car rides were rough, but with Rebeka’s suggestions, I have seen a world of difference. From Athena running in the backseat/lunging at the windows when she sees cars/people/animals, now she can sit and remain calm during car rides. I am so thankful for Rebeka and for her knowledge, she has always been patient with Athena's progress and always offers new tools if something isn't working. She always offers explanations and will help me understand Athena's behaviors more which helps me be a better dog mom! There has been plateaus with Athena's progress which can get discouraging, but I am so grateful for Rebeka. She is a life saver!! It's not always easy but it is extremely rewarding and we wouldn't be where we are without Rebeka's help. Athena is LOVING day school so much and learning so much. I love Four Legged Care but after today, I don’t know what we would do without them. We’ve been clients for a few months, with consistent 2-3 drop in visits a week. Today we had an emergency when Becky arrived. My girls got into chocolate ( and yes it was our fault we left it on a coffee table not somewhere a pet could not get, and we learned our lesson), our drop in started and immediately she spotted all the issues, alerted me, called me, provided poison control #’s within seconds to get an accurate assesment of the situation, waited with my girls updating me every few minutes, we made the decision to seek immediate medical attention, they were driven to the ER, and living places in the hands of vets within an hour. ABOVE AND BEYOND. I never once was worried I knew the staff was capable, companionate, and had my dogs best interest in mind. Not only did our direct care provider reach out to us to check in on them but the owner did as well, reassuring us if there was any ever future issue they would always put our pets first. After rescuing our dog we quickly felt overwhelmed with his reactivity, we struggled to take him out for walks and weren’t sure how to best help him. Once we started working with Becky we quickly begin to see positive changes. She coached us on how to best help him through difficult situations. She not only helped us to build the most amazing relationship with our pup but she helped build our confidence to best help him in any situation. Becky is always available to answer questions, set up additional training sessions, and is someone we can trust to take our dogs on walks. The best part of working with Becky and four legged care is how invested they are in the dogs they work with. Working 8hr+ a day and having a new puppy is no easy task! Both my pup and I are so thankful to have Katelyn’s help! She’s very prompt and responsive, Even ran over to my house with-in 15min when I saw my puppy was having major anxiety in his crate. My rescue pup has not had an easy time adjusting and on meds – Katelyn has been so kind and understanding! Last weekend I was able to go away and know that my house and pets were well cared for with the help of Katelyn & Colleen. I received updates through each day, multiple pictures of my pets, and they even spent more time with them than originally scheduled. I felt good knowing that there was someone with them and my pets could stay in their home while I was away. Between walks, playtime, feedings, meds, & accident clean ups; Katelyn has gone above and beyond even in the short time that she has been helping us – I really don’t know what we would do without her assistance. Very trustworthy company! My husband and I recently moved to New Haven and needed a pet sitter for our little menagerie (five cats and a dog! ) when we travel. To complicate matters even more, one of our cats is 19 y/o and on four different medications. Back in our old city, the pet sitting company we worked with was a revolving door of poorly trained sitters who often complained about the number of pets we had (even though they were fully aware when they took our $$) and would leave our home a mess. Four Legged Care has been the exact opposite and completely awesome! They have affordable pricing and are extremely communicative. Colleen has been our sitter and is very sweet and thorough. She follows the instructions we leave for our pets and sends us tons of adorable videos and photos. She goes above and beyond every time. Most recently, our flight was canceled coming home from a trip and within minutes of notifying Colleen, she figured out a way to accommodate our last minute, extra day request. Katelyn at Four Legged Care did an excellent job caring for our two dogs when we were away for a week this summer. She certainly put our minds at ease with the outstanding professionalism, care, and responsiveness she demonstrated. Her company offers the use of a user-friendly app which allows clients to receive notification of the start and end of each visit, comments, and photos. Appointments and payments can be made using the app, as well. These features were unexpected but a very much appreciated part of the experience. While her service was not inexpensive, I felt it was an excellent value. Katelyn, the owner and founder the company, is one of the most wonderful humans i have ever met!.. i am a nurse, and work long days when it is my on shifts; she ALWAYS made sure my puppy cliff was well taken care of!.. always on time, sending check ins, and pictures. I would not trust my pup with any other walkers/sitters!.. she is professional, reliable, but most importantly-she LOVES what she does. Her heart is in this company, and you can tell it! Katelyn is an amazing young woman who is totally dedicated to the pets and pet parents that she cares for. If I could give this woman a half star I would. I don’t have enough words to warn you to not hire Katelyn Puglisi. She ditched us and our dogs one hour before we were getting on a plane at JFK for Europe for our honeymoon. She was Completely unprofessional, and just callously called and quit. She does not care about animals. And to top it off she offered to let us pay her to come to our house to care for our dogs for 30 minute intervals at extremely outrageous rates. Anyone who really loves dogs knows that’s not enough for 11 days. She claimed we were too messy but she was there 24 hours prior and said nothing. She obviously put no thought into taking the job and just thought it was ok to bail so late. I would never trust this woman with animals. She’s cruel and completely irresponsible.
