The vibe is warm, and welcoming from the minute you enter this very spacious, airy and modern salon. The small touches make this a 5 star review:The menu of coffees to choose from, the consultation with my colorist Rocco, taking the time to talk about my color needs and expectations. The very delightful massage chairs while my hair was being washed PLUS the amazing head massage during this time. The time Fabio takes to talk about my cut and style. He is truly an expert at his profession and views hair as art. I am always so pleased and happy when I leave.His entire staff is so talented, knowledgeable and attentive - shoutout to Mary, Samantha, Guilia - and the front desk - Miguel and Stella. Giulia is one of the best hairstylists I've ever had, and definitely my first choice in the NY area. I struggled a lot in NYC to find a good place with experienced people able to color my hair the natural way I always look for. Giulia really listens to all your exigences and ideas first, and after making sure you understand the color techniques and are satisfied with the plan, she gets the job done, perfectly. By the way, the whole staff is super warm as well and always happy to make you feel comfortable with a great cappuccino! I absolutely adore this salon. They really take their time with your hair. All the staff is so attentive and hospitable and my God are they talented. I have never been satisfied with my hair color. EVER. They always make me blonde or leave my hair copper. this is the first time I actually love my hair. Giulia did such an amazing job! And Sam did such a great job cutting my hair. I researched well into this salon and the colorist before coming to Fabio Scalia and let me say that the amazing reviews this placed had was absolutely true, I recommend this salon greatly to anyone out there whether its getting some sort of color treatment for the first time, a simple blow out and wash, or even a wedding hairstyle. The staff is amazing and nice, the women I interacted had a lot of high positive energy and were very caring towards their customers. Samantha did my blow out after my color treatment and she did a wonderful job. I told her exactly how I pictured my blowout to be and she made it happen flawlessly. Giulia was my colorist, absolutely amazing. She took me in for a consult and explained everything in much detail as she possibly could. She was very patient, understanding, and not once did she try to rush through anything no matter how long it took--as a nervous customer getting a color treatment done for the 1st time, I really appreciate that. First time at the salon and good vibes from the second I walked in. Julia was my colorist and since I was already sitting down, I asked if someone was available for a quick cut and Sam walked right up and introduced herself and said she was be able to accommodate me even though she was extremely busy. From cut to color THIS is the place to go. Very friendly, sweet staff that are super knowledgeable and professional. Special shoutouts to Sam who cut my hair after we had a chat about what I wanted, what’s good for my round face shape, and how much styling I want to do. She made me feel very confident when I walked out and she is just a very warm, lovely person. Also shoutout to Giulia who is an INCREDIBLE colorist. She literally transformed my hair and I was so happy I was speechless and almost in tears from how good it looked. All of my friends have commented how natural it looks. This is a male review for a unisex hair stylist. Nice place with lovely staff. They offer all kinds of services, and even all kinds of drinks. It could be a little less pricey but I guess this is the market for high end haircuts. Staff have different styles to cutting hair, so it may take you a few tries to find your favorite stylist. They also offer you a fixer upper for free a couple weeks after your haircut. I recommend this place. More...

Isabel has cut my hair twice. The first time i saw her, she transitioned me from long hair to short, which went very well. I brought a couple images of how I wanted the cut to look and Isabel was able to marry them, while adjusting the style to fit my face and my hair texture. I got so many compliments on the new hair style and i felt a lift to my whole appearance and my attitude. The cut grew out gracefully and was very easy to style. Isabel also recommended a product to style the cut I will never live without again. The second time Isabel cut my hair I didn't bring a photo and the finished haircut wasn't exactly as I wanted, but after I gave two minutes of feedback, Isabel adjusted it to my liking. Fabio is so passionate about what he does and it truly shows in every haircut. He takes his time & really gives EACH strand the attention and love it needs and deserves.
