I was in desperate need of a photographer for a quite last minute planning for my daughters 15th birthday photo shoot that she so very much wanted to do with her friends. I was worried that I was not gonna find someone who was willing to do it knowing the circumstances with Covid19. And with that I was also on a tight budget. I sent out a search message here on Yelp and was surprise to receive quite a few responses but they were all unfortunately beyond my budget until I heard from Emily. She was able to explain her services and her rate was just fit to my budget and her services was just the perfect fit to my needs. I was able to book my daughters birthday photo shoot with her. Throughout the days before and on the day of my daughters birthday, Emily was always quick to respond to all of my inquiries and was also very kind and accommodating. She was the one who suggested the perfect place to take the photos and when we arrived there she was punctual. When I met her in person, she is such a wonderful and sweet young lady, she was also professional and knowledgeable with the perfect spot and lightning, she knows her stuff. We had a wonderful time taking photos and enjoyed every moment with Emily. A couple of days after the photo shoot, Emily sent me by email all of our photos that she took and edited and they all turned out magically beautiful. For some reason, when it comes to scheduling holiday family photo shoots, I wait until mid-November to look for a photographer. Maybe it's the thrill of the chase or pure laziness? I did the Yelp quote thing and got multiple offers and quotes but good lord, I had no idea photography costs these days! I'm usually a believer in you get what you pay for but I'm sorry, I'm wasn't willing to pay $300 for a 1.5 hour photo shoot...in a pandemic no less! One quote stood out from the rest, honestly because it was one of the lowest numbers and mama like! I looked at Emily's work and thought, how can it be so low when the work is so great! Umm sign me up! It also helped that she still had availability considering it was so close to December. This was one of the cases where you get what you pay for meant the opposite - good ass work for a bargain!

Emily was great to work with. When you work with a photographer, it's more than just point and shoot. You want them to direct you, tell you, how to position your body. Not all of us are Tyra Banks(ssss), although I was born to smize, or is it spelled smeyes? Emily did great in directing us and offering places to shoot with beautiful backgrounds.

Here's the best part - The last time we had a photoshoot was with a different photographer, my daughter was 10 months old. She actually didn't fuss very much. My daughter is now 4 and Mommy made a big boo-boo in not packing any snacks as she is now able to voice her fussiness. She was so hungry in the beginning of the shoot which made for some surly shots. Emily so graciously offered her some blueberries and string cheese which perked my daughter right up and brought smiles out.

The turnaround time was very fast. We got our retouched pictures back within less than a week and was able to send out holiday cards in the beginning of December! Thank you Emily! More...

Emily shot my daughter's birthday party and did a wonderful job! She is an excellent photographer and very kind. Would definitely recommend her.
