Solid stepping for el rancho. I had the deluxe burrito with beef (their most popular burrito). Old El Paso would be proud. The ground beef was nicely seasoned with a consistent, middle of the road enchilada sauce. Hubby had the veggie burrito. It was as big as a log with mushrooms, onions, and zucchini- in other words, not just the fajita veggies. He appreciates a variety. Overall, things could have been kickier - but we get it. This is one of the best restaurants in Bend.  The food is excellent, but the service is over the top amazing.  The entire staff is caring, friendly, and pays attention to the customers.  You can tell this restaurant is family owned and something the entire crew takes pride in making a special place.The menu has a wide range of items and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal.  Choose anything on the menu and you'll be happy!  The margaritas are some of the best in town.Do yourself a favor and go El Rancho Grande! Best service in Bend! Every single time. Food is authentic and delicious. Went there for lunch for my 9 year old on his birthday. Wow! Not only did they sing and provide an amazing complimentary desert, but had others in the restaurant sing, and provided a sombrero for him to wear  He was so grateful and loved it. Cadillac Margarita is amazing and the food is fantastic too. Love coming here, if you want to be in a more bar atmosphere they have a bar with sits at the bar or tables to watch whatever game is on. A little loud but that's what makes it enjoyable, the restaurant is busy but not as loud, I recommend the shredded beef tacos and enchiladas or one of their specialty plate, I believe it's call the El Rancho Grande it's rib eye steak charbroiled with green pepper and onion. My wife and I tried this place while visiting Bend because it happened to be in the area we were shopping. We were not disappointed! !The only small complaint is that our waiter sometimes took a long time to come back to us. Other than that, he was attentive and helpful. While I liked their salsa, it was very spicy and too spicy for my wife. Our waiter brought back 3 other salsas for us to sample which was cool. My wife ventured out of her comfort zone and tried the carne asada tacos. She said they were the best tacos she ever had! My wet burrito with chicken off the lunch menu was fantastic. Our mojito and non-stop shelf margarita were tasty.The food was great, waiter was helpful and nice. We'd definitely return. Wish we had one closer to home! More...

Rafael is there BEST manager I've experienced. He listened to me, treated me as if I were one of his own, and gave me some of the best customer service I've experienced in a LONG time. He was "real" while still being professional. Fun conversation, got to know me, and helped me out (letting me stay in the lounge for hours after a flight, waiting on family). The rest of the staff was fantastic too. Very thorough, on top of service, asking how I was, and making sure my chips were stocked.Thank you El Rancho Grande family for today!
