I practiced yoga for years before it was time to switch to prenatal yoga. After trying out several studios and teachers on the Upper East Side, I found the prenatal yoga teacher I was looking for in Stephanie. She emphasizes the balance between mind and body and her knowledge as a doula has helped me to become more aware of my potential as a birthing mother (any day now) or, as she says, birthing goddess. Stephanie is a wonderful pregnancy support.  I started going to her prenatal yoga classes from my 19th week and there is really no way I could have survived the pregnancy without her support, guidance and practice.  I am full term at the moment and feel as prepared as I can get due to her exercises and lessons learned in class.  She creates a supportive environment for first time moms, teaches at a slow, but challenging pace, and is very attentive in and out of class.  I take other prenatal yoga classes at the studio, but the fact that Stephanie is also a doula makes a huge difference in knowing what the students need, our anxieties and how to best prepare for pregnancy (oh! those pelvic floor exercises!). I highly recommend her classes!  She's the best! More...

Stephanie was a wonderful support and a terrific doula. Our meetings pre delivery were insightful, valuable and made me feel so reassured. Her presence during my labor and delivery was amazing. She was there from the start to the end - her energy and encouragement was instrumental in creating as calm an environment as could be. Her follow up visit was also so helpful! I strongly recommend her! She's fantastic. More...

Stephanie was the perfect doula. She was calm, cool and collected at every phase of the process, allowing my husband and I to relax (as much as possible) during the lead up to and delivery of our first child.  She was bright, cheery, warm, well-informed and experienced. In our first meeting with her she set herself apart from other doulas that we met by not just talking to me but also putting my husband at ease. His comfort with her was a critical part of the relationship and as it turned out, one of the most important things she did on delivery day was keep him at ease and occupied while I progressed. In the weeks leading up to labor, Stephanie helped me feel prepared for what to expect on the big day (which meant we could save time and money not going to childbirth classes). When it turned out that the big day was two weeks earlier than we expected, Stephanie picked up our calls at 2 in the morning and met us at the hospital at 5 am, just as the epidural was being administered. She brought aromatherapy to the delivery room, which the nurses and doctors said made the room smell wonderful compared to other rooms. She held my hand and comforted me before the pushing and coached me during the pushing.  After the delivery she emailed me with ideas on pain management and stopped by to check on me.I would highly recommend Stephanie to anyone who is looking for a doula, especially if you are looking for a doula who is totally non-judgemental when it comes to epidurals and pain management and deferring to the doctors when it comes to medical choices. We are so grateful that she was a part of our birth experience! More...

The office was lovely and Stephanie was very prompt. She made me feel relaxed even before I got on the table for my session ! I got to choose 2 top of the line essential oils for my session and then got on the table. Stephanie has a great touch. The reiki and reflexology was awesome. I floated out of the office and had the best nights sleep.I can't wait to go back to see Stephanie again. More...
