I've spent over 10 years in the rescue community learning about canine cognition, environmental impact on behavior, and studying how to revolutionize the inter-species relationship through better understanding and communication between dog and guardian.

Callie is the best trainer I’ve ever worked with. I’ve known her since 2015 when she coordinated my rescue process with my dog, and she has been a helpful resource to me ever since. Callie is gentle with her humans and works just as hard to make them comfortable as she does her dogs. She is great at educating you and making sure you are equipped to give your dog the best chance at success. I highly recommend her! More...

Callie is amazing with dogs! Not only was she the foster of one of our doggos she has helped us with training both of them. In preparation for a long trip, she helped us work on acclimating one of our dogs to being around other dogs safely. We worked on best greeting methods and body signals. We were gone for 10 days and had no incidents when we returned. She also helped us prepare both our dogs for welcoming kids into our home. We started with leash training and it has made walks a million times more enjoyable. She has a great sense for teaching you how to understand your dog and their actions, and how to accept them for being the dog they are. More...
What do you love most about your job?
I found "Ikagi" which is a Japanese concept for "reason for being." My job is mentally, socially, and ethically satisfying.

Vernacular is extremely important in training with dogs. It encompasses multiple facets of behavior by looking at enrichment, physical health, relationship, and communication. We're not just working on helping our dog better comprehend the world around them, but figuring out how each individual dog perceives the world as well and being certain we're providing the resources for their best life.
