In May, my daughter and I planned an August road trip to Montana with my dog Hank. Sadly, Hank died the middle of June. I decided to wait until after our trip to look for a new rescue; however, a friend in Texas asked if I would please take a stray that her grand kids had found there. They couldn't keep him, they were unable to find anyone else to take him and they didn't want to drop him off at a rescue shelter there. Hence, I ended up with an untrained but loveable stray named Buddy. Due to the short amount of time before our trip, I looked for a place to teach him some manners. Based on a recommendation from another company and the glowing reviews on the web, I dropped him off at Dog Dynamix for 3 weeks of board and train for $3,495. Pricey, but I was glad they would be able to complete his training before we left for Montana. Imagine my surprise when Buddy came back to me unable to do anything that he hadn't been doing when I dropped him off. He could do a little heeling for very brief periods provided there were zero distractions. Same with 'sit'. Didn't know 'stay' or 'down'. No basic obedience behavior whatsoever. What I got for my $3,495 was 1 pet cot, 1 slip leash, 1 remote collar set and 4 cans of dog food (not a part of his regular diet). I did not get a dog that exhibited any training. Fortunately, he's still very loveable. I would not recommend Dog Dynamix for anything other than possibly boarding. More...

Dog Dynamix is the best dog training facility in Denver. Lisa and her team are fantastic! We've gone to them for group obedience, rally, and agility classes and private lessons for one of our dogs and the second went through their board and train program. Every single hour we've worked there has been lonely well spent. Our dogs are the best they can be and we've learned an incredible amount on how to work through all sorts of training things, from basic obedience problems to reactivity. We had an amazing experience with Dog Dynamix! Our 1 year old golden retriever attended the 4 week board and train program, and the results were fantastic! He is a joy to be around now and we are constantly getting complimented on how well-behaved he is. If you're considering a board and train program, I would strongly recommend DD! I am so grateful to Dog Dynamix and Shaina for teaching me how to be a great dog mom. Timmy is the first dog I've ever owned and I had no idea how to teach him to be a good, polite pup. after training with Shaina, Tim goes to my office with me and is our mascot. The team at work loves him almost as much as I do. He is so well behaved. Sometimes he sits on my desk and looks out my window. He is quiet and behaves. people love to pet him because he does not jump up, he sits and heels when asked. Teaching a dog commands is not hard, getting the dog to follow commands when there's distractions, you don't have a treat on hand, or the dog is excited is where every other trainer I've worked with has fallen short. Before Dog Dynamix, we went through group dog training classes and even hired a one on one trainer with little success. We'd graduate each class with flying colors but out in the world my dog would either ignore commands or obey them unreliably.My dog completed the 45 day bootcamp and went from only obeying commands when it was convenient to following commands very consistently. I can take him for off leash runs now and know that if I call him, he'll come immediately. If he finds a piece of food or trash on the ground and I say drop it, he will drop it. This class has made him much safer and it's improved his quality of life because I can bring him almost everywhere I go and let him explore off leash. My relationship with him is also much more positive than it was before because I'm not fighting him to get him to behave himself. I'm constantly recommending this program to people who ask me how I trained my dog, and although it is expensive it is absolutely one of the best investments I have ever made. More...

I live local to Dog Dynamix- Ohio, Shaina has helped our family immensely with our dog Gunner. I have even spent the day at her home during a workshop she held this summer and it was incredibly informative. Shaina is professional, a serious wealth of knowledge and truly knows how to communicate with dogs in a positive manner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Shaina and the team at Dog Dynamix have been such a blessing to us and our rescue border collie puppy, Oscar. Oscar has been working through basic obedience, reactivity, fear and anxiety. We were lost before we found Shaina and Dog Dynamix. She cares so deeply for the animals she works with and her clients. Oscar has come a LONG way and what we've learned has been invaluable. His recall is excellent, the tools we learned in how to exercise him/train him simultaneously, the day to day management and care for him. Why should our clients choose you?
Our training methodology is heavily based on rewarding a dog for a job well done. We use praise, treats, toy and play rewards for teaching the skills we want the dog to know. After all, how many of us work for free? However, after the dog understands what is expected of them, they must also understand that following commands is not up for debate. We provide a complete and balanced approach to training dogs and their owners using proven scientific principles.
What makes a dog trainer an expert? Choosing a dog trainer is a difficult decision. Does the trainer hold titles in any dog sports? Do they belong to any dog training organizations? Do they have a ‘demo-dog’? Any trainer should be able to demonstrate their proficiency. Our trainers are versed in all quadrants of learning, understand dog behavior, and can help you find the right training solutions for your dog and family.
Most dogs in training programs do not leave the facility. ALL of the dogs in our care go on regular field trips. Not only does that provide enrichment for the dogs, but it allows them to experience and learn training in the places their owners will be taking them.
Boarding and Training
3 Week advanced obedience program focusing on leash walking, coming when called, bed-stay, and good behavior around dogs and people at home and in public spaces.
Day Training
Daycare style training to help achieve advanced obedience (leash walking, bed-stay, sit, down) around distractions. Offered Monday - Friday.
Puppy Training
Boarding and training options as well as Puppy Kindergarten (daycare style training) to help mold puppies into confident, well-balanced adult dogs.
