We went to Kortney for my daughter's first haircut, based on the recommendation of her colleagues. She didn't mind an audience and was quick, while still giving my daughter lots of attention/conversation and made it an enjoyable experience. We even ran into her outside of the salon and I mentioned needing to schedule a bang trim and she got her scissors and trimmed on the spot, while giving me a mini lesson on technique to keep it up at home! We came to Delaware Salon with very high expectations however knowing we were asking a lot with the drastic change we wanted to his hair. However the expectations were completely met and then some. The staff were all very nice, talented and friendly. The owner, Amberly, was very helpful in making a last minute appointment and our hairdresser, Tashia, was wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied! I had the BEST experience with stylist Mally Munn (@mallymunnhair)! I have 3a curls and am pretty picky about hair stylists- I like to take care of my curls and go to stylists who know curly cuts. I was previously driving 30+ minutes to go to a salon up in Carmel. I’m so glad Delaware Blu opened up just down the street! Mally did a wonderful job with my natural curls. She did a dry cut on me, spent time talking about my routine and what look I was going for. My curls are laying so nicely now- absolutely a noticeable improvement with shape and layers. For color she went above and beyond to make sure she had an idea of what I was looking to do, going through photos, and making sure we had plenty of time to get the right look. I had the most wonderful time getting my haircut. I feel Mally knows how to look at wavy/curly hair and make the cut reflect how the hair should lay. I walked into Delaware Blu on a whim after stopping by Goose the Market, and I’m so glad I did ! I made an appointment for a haircut and came in the next day. My hair designer, Kortney, got me a cold La Croix (they also have beer and wine !) and went right into washing my hair with amazing smelling Aveda products. We had a great chat while she cut my hair, and she gave me a hand massage afterwards I felt so pampered and light after my experience. Definitely recommend !! More...
