We feel very fortunate that we were able to find D Squared and work with David for my daughter's wedding, and then on a later date, her reception party. David was easy to get by phone or text, listened to our plans and requests, and delivered exactly what we had discussed. Our budget was tight, and he was able to put together a plan that worked for us financially and produced wonderful footage of the ceremony and festivities. We found him to be quietly present and respectful of what was going on; he was easy to have with our group. He researched the venues, even came and checked the lighting conditions on the days prior, and this made me willing to put away my camera phone, enjoy the time, and know that there would be videos to watch afterward. Dave Darling filmed a music video for me at 3rd Coast Recording Co. of my Niece's acapella group. They were recording one of their songs and since it was their 1st time in a pro studio the music took priority. Mr. Darling stayed in the background but captured their experience wonderfully. What do you love most about your job?
I have been behind the lens for my entire professional career and I can't think of anything else I would rather do. I have a BS in photographic/television production. But, the real asset I possess is the knowledge and experience accumulated from a wide array of clients and projects over the past 40 years. A significant part of what I do is creative problem solving and crafting a polished project of lasting beauty for my clients. To reach that end I employ a critical eye and a professional, proven process.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for a large company for a few years. Then downsizing hit and I was unemployed. While I was looking for another position I used my skills and knowledge to do free-lance work. It very quickly became clear that I enjoyed being my own boss.. At a time when I SHOULD have been worrying about money I decided to hang out my shingle, take a chance and make a go of it. I have never looked back and I have never regretted my decision. I love my job!
Why should our clients choose you?
I have over 40 years of experience in the media production field. I know my equipment, how to make your project sing and I am flexible. My goal is to make sure you are happy with the services and end result I provide. After all, in my field, you are only as good as your last job. Most important is that I love what I do.
