Teena and the team were amazing. We ran a team building event and created delicious pakora and butter chicken. The team prepped all the ingredients (measuring, marinating) and we focused on mise en place/cooking. The team was able to cook, chat, drink and enjoy a scrumptious dinner. Plus, we had the added benefit of using state of the art appliances with induction stoves with integrated vents. Their Santa Clara location is accessible right off the highway near Santa Row. I was given a gift certificate for a cooking class with Chef Teena for my birthday. (Read: I'm not a good cook and my loved ones know it. )It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Chef Teena is quite responsive via email or phone, and finding a time that worked with both of our busy schedules was easy. Choosing the menu was smooth as well.When my girlfriend and I arrived at the class, everything had been set up in a way that made it simple to see what recipes we would be crafting and what ingredients were involved. We jumped right in and blasted out 4 different dishes during the ~2 hour class.Chef Teena was a great teacher and clearly took steps to ensure that I'd retain the knowledge and be able to replicate the recipes on my own time. All in all, I had an excellent time and recommend ECA to anyone who's looking for a fun activity that'll leave them a bit more equipped in the kitchen. Thanks Chef! More...

Months ago I made reservations for a private event with a cooking school that my husband and I had taken a class from in the past. This reservation was the main event of a big surprise birthday celebration. -  Four days before the date, I was informed that my event had been cancelled due to staffing issues. Panic! I combed the internet for a suitable replacement. Teena and Explore Culinary Arts saved the day. Teena organized staff, helped me plan an awesome menu that had some special dietary restrictions, and readied every detail. The best part was how easy she was to work with. The "surprise" was a success. The venue was amazing as was the staff and all of the preparations. We all had the best time, cooking, learning and laughing. Our meal was delicious -- We are such good cooks ;-)  I cannot say enough about Teena and Explore Culinary Arts. We now believe it was a stroke of luck that the original place cancelled on us, which allowed us to discover Explore Culinary Arts, truly a cut above. We will be recommending them to family and friends and look forward to another cooking experience with them soon! More...
