I hired Crystal to secretly photograph me and my fiance's engagement. She was absolutely amazing throughout the process! ! She helped me plan the logistics of the proposal, recommended a great local beach in Kailua, and guided us through a quick photo shoot on the beach after the engagement. I was recommended Crystal to do our Rainbow Baby maternity photos with and she was nothing short of amazing. On the day of the photo shoot I wasn't really feeling good, forgot to schedule my makeup appt and completely forgot to have an idea as for how I wanted my hair to look.  Well, because pregnancy . I was just not feeling it on that day. But when we arrived, her energy changed how I felt and she was able to capture the very feelings I wanted and those were the feelings of love and thankfulness. Crystal photographed our wedding on October 30, 2016 on Papaioloa Beach, North Shore Oahu. Crystal contacted us a couple months before the wedding to Skype and get a feel for our personalities and what we were looking for. We really appreciated her interest and preparation for our big day. On the day of, she was on time, professional and made us feel VERY comfortable and relaxed. During the ceremony she was very good at capturing candid moments and unlike many wedding photographers who can be overwhelming while snapping away, Crystal was undetectable.After the ceremony, she had planned locations that captured the best light and natural beauty of our location. We got our photos back within two weeks! The photos were organized and easy to view online.I would recommend Crystal for anyone looking for a talented, professional and easy going photographer. Crystal Chanel Photo is a great photographer, and will make you feel at ease right off the bat. My fiancé and I planned on going on vacation, and thought it would be nice to take engagement photos in Oahu. From the phone consultation to the days leading up to the shoot, she was responsive and helpful!She made two goofballs look like we could be featured in a wedding magazine. My fiance is not the most easy person in front of the camera, but she got him to be at ease, and even helped me feel calm and poised. She helped us pose and get comfortable, and was very flexible throughout our entire photo shoot! She even got in the water with us when we said we didn't mind getting wet! She is creative, professional, and helps you envision the look for your photos.She sent over our photos quickly, and they were more than we had hoped for! We planned a very small, intimate wedding. Our photographer would be the only non-family at the event. Our biggest fear in choosing a photographer was that this person could affect the relaxed and intimate tone we were going for. Crystal was such a perfect fit! She made us feel comfortable, was completely on board with the style of our event, and really encouraged us to be ourselves on this special day. Not only did Crystal help us relax and have fun on a day that has potential to be stressful, but she delivered beautiful photography that we will cherish forever. Crystal is enthusiastic, sweet, and great at getting you into the right pose (or lack-thereof). While she snapped pictures all around us and gave guidance to our session, she also left time for us to be us. I don't remember posing for photos - I remember spending special time with my husband-to-be. She made the whole thing feel so natural. The end result was beautiful photography filled with portraits, surprises, and intimate moments that were not staged. Choosing Crystal as your photographer is an easy decision.
