Commonwealth Stain checked all the boxes - Competitive, Competent & Courteous.
Within 24 hours of submitting my information on Home Advisors I received a call from the owner, Russell, to schedule an in-home estimate. He took the time to walk through each area of the home that I was wanting to paint and he gave me an estimate right on the spot. No need to wait days for an email, which was great! After receiving a couple more estimates and reading online reviews, it was an easy decision to work with Russell and his crew to complete my interior painting.
One of the bonuses that come with hiring Commonwealth Stain is the free color consultant. Even if you think you have the perfect color in mind, the consultant will give you alternative ideas that are even better than your own. At least, that� s what happened in my case and I couldn� t be happier with the choices.
The painting crew was prompt and courteous. They treated my home as if it were their own. They carefully taped and covered all the rooms and made sure all the surfaces were wiped down before they got started. Exactly as it was explained to me, it took them 2 days to complete 4 large rooms, two stairwells and one hallway. This was important to me as I needed to make certain work accommodations in advance and them staying on schedule helped me stay on mine.
There are a few spots that need touch ups but Russell contacted me immediately after my email to schedule those touch ups to happen. But overall the end result was beautiful and I smile when I walk into my freshly painted rooms!
Contracting with Commonwealth was one of the smartest decisions I could have made. I am very cautious when it comes to recommendations to friends and family but I wouldn� t hesitate to recommend Commonwealth Stain to anyone.

Outstanding business! I called for an estimate, and the owner was here in a couple of hours. He walked each room with me, and made recommendations and suggestions. He instantly gave me very price competitive estimates on every room. He offered me a representative from Sherwin Williams for paint recommendations (because I was uncertain) for free. The rep was excellent at paint suggestions, and mailed me paint samples to hang in my interior to help my paint decisions. His employees did an excellent job painting walls, trim, banister railings, ceilings, and sanding repairs beforehand. The owner was very open with communication, and the workers were prompt and wonderful. He also offers a two year warranty on the paint. You cannot beat this company.
