Our vet recommended Justin for our puppy because he offers puppy training for dogs under 4 months. We really wanted to start socializing him ASAP so we signed up. His facilities are at his home, which is different from other facilities we visited but the pups have multiple areas to play/train and we get videos and texts from all walks and trainings which is frequent sometimes up to 2-3x daily. He was initially scared, but Justin was kind and patient with him. By the end of the trainings, he was more comfortable, acclimated, and responded well to the basic commands. More...

Clarkes K9 has been a life saver for our German Shepherd puppy.
Justin is an amazing trainer with so much patience and love for pups.
Boarded my pup here for an intensive 5 week training which worked wonders for our rose. Their socialization class is amazing, as well as a wonderful opportunity for puppies to learn focus around controlled distractions. Wouldn’t know what we’d do without Clarkes K9. Looking forward to continue having Justin be a big part of our pup’s growth!

I interviewed plenty of trainers in my process to find help with my two dogs. Justin was really cool when we spoke, very informative and invited me out to a puppy play session he was hosting. He kennel trains which i was unsure about initially - but after walking me through his process made me feel more at ease. I didn’t fell rushed to make a decision after the evaluation which was nice because some places are just trying to fill spots. He has outdoor space on the top level above the kennel training, which was nice that dogs spent a great deal in. I went daily for training sessions during the third and fourth week of the board and train program which were super helpful - Justin always accommodated my schedule. He’s a super cool guy, informative, and great with animals. You can tell. Since the board and train program, I always board the dogs here when I travel in which Justin always gives me a refresher course upon pick up and checks in with the dogs training. Wouldn’t recommend him . Keeps the dogs in his garage in cages and he doesn’t have a yard to work with the dogs freely. Kept my puppy over 2 weeks and no real results.

Hi Hacob, Thanks for sharing your feedback. Yes, we crate train here at Clarke’s K9 while pups are boarded for training, but pups are not confined to this space 24/7. There is a crate time limit for both puppies and adult dogs. Pups are out in our enclosed outdoor area for play time daily as well as the walks 3x daily. We understand that some owners feel the confinement is cruel. However, a crate or kennel can give dogs a sense of security. Crate training is also a highly effective management system that can be a lifesaver for dog owners. Dog training is dynamic. Here at Clarke’s K9 we stress the importance of a pups parental attending the sessions, and try to ensure the parents understand the needs to continuing a strict regime once the pup has returned home. We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are gutted when we don’t meet expectations. We set a high standard for ourselves and will be sure to use the feedback to make us better.

If I could give Justin a 100 star review I would!!! I was recommended to Justin by a friend and what a relief! It took me a year to find him. I honestly wish we would have found him sooner. I’ve worked with so many other trainers and none have achieved what he has with my dog. He took our dog for a 4 week board and train. He was very flexible and worked with me with my schedule. He updated me every day on all the progress my dog had shown. He would send me pictures and videos and I couldn’t believe that was my dog! When it was time for me to take my dog, Justin worked with me and trained me on how to handle my dog the way he was trained. The package included private integration classes while he was home. My dog is not the same dog I’ve known. He is so well behaved and I would never thought in a million years this was possible! Couldn’t thank him enough for all he has done. I just want to start this review off by saying that Justin offered me a discount just because we happen to live nearby, but I paid him the full amount because he was so darn good with my dog.
First, he spent a great hour talking with us about our routine with our dog and what we wanted to work on. Then explained his program in detail.
I had a great experience with Justin, who trained our 7-month old dog. We saw immediate results with our dog, and now a couple of months later, he’s a much more obedient dog.
Justin is fantastic. He takes care of the hard part - teaching your dog how to respond to the commands - while teaching you how to repeat and reinforce the training at home.
His rates are very reasonable, and he’s very communicative and easy to reach. Definitely recommend!

Justin was referred to us by a friend who boarded her two dogs with Clarke’s K9. He is exceptional, pleasant and was extremely thorough with my husband and I about the process during our first chat. We cannot say enough good things about him and his help with our dogs who were out of control. We had them in his four week program, and we barely recognized them upon their return. We got report cards weekly that included what was done during training, tools for us for when they returned and pictures and videos every other day which we loved ! What do you love most about your job?
Dog training is truly a passion of mine and has been since childhood. The pups I train become family. I love dogs, and have a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals and their pets. I love the opportunity to work with my favorite animal while helping other dog lovers better understand their pets. I love that every day is different and exciting – new dogs, new people, new places, new behaviors to train.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Being able to work on so many interesting dog behavior cases and know how to solve them. My why inspired me -- to be able to do what I love. Blending my passion with purpose.
Why should our clients choose you?
I always say my work speaks for itself. In the last 15 years of training 95% of my clientele has been off references. I tell prospective clients that if they prioritize good work, exceptional service, support, and a long-term relationship, then I'm the person for them. I am passionate about the work that I do, and it shows in the amazing pups I've been able to train. I also understand that I am in a business where relationships are the main foundation and here at ClarkesK9 we go out of our way to foster them and keep a connection long after training.
