I called Chiko's today for assistance with a bad lock. Within a very few minutes of leaving my name and number for a call back, Quannel calledme back. He asked me pertinent questions to my situation, and even asked me to send him a picture of the lock! A few calls later, we had settled on a solution. He kept us well apprised of his ETA, even calling us when he was a minute away! When Quannel arrived, he gave a friendly greeting and went straight to work! He had the old lock dismantled in a flash and the new lock installed in another flash! He trained me and then my husband. This place is great! Called the main switchboard and they walker through the process. I technician called me within 20 minutes and because I needed it the same day he dispatched a locksmith that was closer to me. We had Mike come over and he was quick, through, and effective. He showed up two options for securing the door and explain the mechanics of both options. He didn't leave until we were satisfied. Extremely knowledgeable and patient. Wow! Chiko's answered my phone call right away and got me a quote to unlock my car within 10 minutes. They sent Itamar Greddy to my rescue STRAIGHT AWAY and he arrived within 25 minutes! ! I like Chiko. Knows exactly what he's doing. I hired him to replace an old doorknob and deadbolt with new deadbolt and handleset, and to drill and install a deadbolt on a door that did not have one. We recently needed to change the locks at our home.  I chose Chiko's based on reviews and the coupon, but I didn't know anything about him.  But he came in about an hour, efficiently took care of the lock changes, made me several spare keys, and charged what seemed to be a reasonable price.  I would highly recommend him for you locksmith needs... Chiko was great - my fiancé and I bought a house and Chiko came the next day (a Saturday!) in the morning to change the locks. He switched out all four locks, which had different mechanisms, so that they all use the same key. He spent some time lining up the locks as they are a little sticky. We also had an issue with our garage door - the track attached to the lock wouldn't fit in the hole made for it any more (movement over time). He took out his drill and made the hole bigger just the right amount - now the garage door locks great! All for a reasonable price. More...

I called some 800 number as I was locked out of my new house and they sent Chiko. He came in a professional looking van, worked out the problem very quickly without damaging the new door. I asked him to look at other locks in the new house as I wanted to change them. He seemed very knowlegeable and gave me a lot of information about the locks. He spent a lot of time answering my questions.    I hired him to come in a few days and replace five locks. I did not go for the most expensive option but I believe that safety is very important and paid a lot of money to have the whole house rekeyed. He cleaned up all the trash after himself, too, which was helpful. I will definitely use him again in the future to replace batteries on the electronic lock, etc. More...

I was completely panicked from locking myself out. I had my dog and I had on shorts and it was getting dark. Chico was at my house in under 20 minutes! I called him in such a panic he literally dropped everything he was doing at his office to help me. When he arrived he was kind even though I had been yelling and nervous and he got me in in probably 10 seconds! Chiko really helped me out. I had an urgent need at my house in Rockville, and needed to get my locks re-keyed. Chiko was able to come out the same day, and showed up on time. Unfortunately my previous locks were low quality, but thankfully I called Chiko.  He ended up replacing the entire locks (instead of re-keying them) with new higher quality locks.  Plus since we had discussed pricing for re-keying Chiko did not charge me extra for installation.  He ended up selling me the locks at cost, and charged the fee for re-keying. Chilo was amazing!  I spoke with several locksmiths before deciding on Chiko. He was exactly as I perceived him to be on the phone. Honest. Knowledgeable. Fair. I can't emphasize the amount of professionalism and pride Chiko takes in his work. He came by our new house and laid out the options and recommendations to replace our locks, one of which was original to this older house and had an extension in the lock. Chiko was able to save us from having to special order the lock extension and integrate it with a brand new lock! I called Chiko's Locksmith last minute to re-key the locks on my condo.  He made time for me and was in Gaithersburg (from Rockville) in one hour.  He arrived at exactly the time that he said he would, and got right to work.  He understood my concerns for safety and he offered me his highest security lock that will make me feel safe at home.  He re-keyed my lock in less than 10 minutes, and also made copies for me so that I didn't have to go get them later on.  I also used the yelp deal for 15 for 30 dollars.  I am so happy that I found Chiko's Locksmith on yelp and would definitely recommend him to anyone in the area that needs a quick, dependable locksmith. We recently moved and two of the doors had key holes on both sides of the door so you couldn't lock the door from the inside without a key. We also had a carport shed with a lock and no key. I requested a quote from Chiko and not only was it lower than the other two I got, but he came out the same day and replaced and rekeyed all requested locks. Chiko went above and beyond my expectations, there is no other way to say it. He saw how busy I was with all the contractors in my new house, so when I needed an extra part for a lock he volunteered to run to Home Depot and get it for me. With zero mark up. He then spent hours changing all my locks and installing a smart system. Even when he was done he still stayed with me for at least 45 minutes to make sure I understood how everything worked, even though that part was not in his job description. Called up Chiko's on Thursday, and Itamar answered and came out the next day. My schedule for that day was all over the place, but Itamar kept in touch with me through text and we made it work pretty easily. I think when a company gives you a window - thats nice, but being able to run errands and text with the person who is actually coming is much easier and gives you much more flexibility. He came when he said he would, and replaced one lock, and rekeyed another. I had people doing some work in my place while he was there, so I couldn't be inside while he worked, and instead shadowed him - which I thought would be annoying so I said I can leave him alone but I just can't be inside - he was extremely kind, and he talked me through everything he was doing. I want to thank Itamar for coming to my business very last minute to change our locks. I called and he arrived to my business within a few hours. Itamar called prior to coming and also alerted me to his arrival. Good communication.
