I’ve worked with animals for about a decade now, doing behavior modification, adoption counseling, and providing care and enrichment. I’ve been lucky enough to experience hundreds of different animals of all species and dispositions, and to learn from them all.

Kevin has been truly awesome to work with and we'll continue to seek his advice! He's extremely educated in the space, very responsive and genuinely cares about the well-being of our animals.
We had been trying to integrate our cats (2 cats from household A, 1 cat from household B) for months and it wasn't working well. We tried all the steps you read about online and thought we were headed in the right direction but were having major set backs.
Kevin met w/ us at home and gave tons of advice and tips. The second visit was probably the game changer b/c after having implemented some of the tips, we still needed more help w/ certain kitty power dynamics. He showed us ways to facilitate "play time" so we could see exactly what works and what may require more time.
One of our cats is particularly aggressive (b/c he's honestly very scared) and Kevin has been able to crack the code of his mind. We've been able to see some major improvements in the interactions and it's really exciting (and a relief!).
We still have a ways to go but so far we have 1 cat from household A and 1 cat from household B tolerating each other well - very awesome. The other cat from household A needs more time but he's definitely learning cues and recognizing the "better choice" to make when he's scared :)

Shout out to Jefferson County's undisputed dog whisperer. Kevin helped Kaya break her aggression toward cats and other small critters and has been a trusted friend and dog walker for many years since. He also helped our cat break his litter box problem without using weapons or violence. I highly recommend for your pet's behavioral issues. More...

What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new people and animals, and helping everyone understand each other better so that they can all live their best lives together!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I'd been helping people and animals with various sorts of behavioral issues at animal shelters for many years, gaining a lot of valuable experience as I went. I finally decided that I'd like to get to these types of people and animals earlier in their timelines, out in the "real world", before manageable issues became major ones that might warrant a painful separation between person and animal.
Why should our clients choose you?
I've worked with thousands of different animals (and their people) and developed some techniques that really seem to work for many animals, especially anxious and shy ones. I won't be the best trainer to help you train a hunting dog, but I think I'm pretty good at helping people and their animals find reasonable, realistic, healthy compromises in day-to-day life that benefit everyone.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes. I do offer virtual behavior consultations if people prefer. We can speak over the phone, or video chat through Facetime or Zoom.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I'm happy to mask up and try to accommodate peoples' differing needs. Depending on the nature of the behavioral issue, some consultations can be done outside or socially distanced.
Initial In-Home Behavior Consultation $150
A thorough behavioral consultation for your dog or cat that includes an initial phone or online interview and questionnaire, an in-home training session, and a detailed written report. After getting to know you and your pet I’ll walk you through a training session and teach you what you need to know to start modifying your pet’s behavior.
Consults run approximately 60 min.
Great for new pet owners, shy or anxious animals, and other general behavior needs!
Additional In-Home Behavior Consultations $100
Extra 60 min. in-home consultations, following the initial consultation, to address ongoing behavior projects.
Virtual Behavior Consultations $75
If you just need some extra guidance regarding your pet’s behavior I’m available for consultations through Zoom, FaceTime, or phone. Each consult runs about 60 min.
Therapeutic or Senior Canine Massage $30/30min.
Massages can be tailored towards senior, shy, or active animals, and can be done in the comfort of your home or outside. Whatever your animal needs really!
(Book 3 or more at a time and save $5 off each half-hour!)
Massage and Walk Combo $60/60min.
A great option for most dogs! A stroll through the neighborhood and a massage to help with recovery, warm-up, or cool-down. Individually tailored and also works great when your dog is rehabbing after an injury.
Total time is 60 min. About 30 min. for walking and 30 for massage, depending on the dog.
(Book 3 or more at a time and save $10 on each session!)
