Had an excellent experience at Captain's Quarters. I walked in and explained that I needed to be measured for my brother's wedding, but that I was from out of town and wouldn't be purchasing today. Luke was extremely professional and courteous about taking my measurements, and I was out of there in 5 minutes with my numbers and having tried on a jacket! Our experience with Captain's Quarters has been excellent. We first went there in 2015 when we were looking for a leather spring/fall jacket for my s/o for our trip to London. He found a excellent quality jacket that fit him perfectly, and were very happy. At that time we'd asked if they could recommend a tailor, and were told that they contracted out alterations; we'd had a bad experience with another person who basically ruined some of our better clothes, so we wanted to go with a recommendation next time we needed one.Just yesterday, March 19, 2018, he dropped off some uniform pants at C'sQ to be hemmed up; there was no appointment needed. Much to our surprise, his pants were ready for pick up today! We previously had to wait weeks. So Mr.Fox was very helpful after our incident with our tux rentals for our wedding. They were very nice and wanted to fix the problem as much as they could, considering that we couldn't really go back and fix the issue its self. I would still highly recommend Captains Quarters to anyone, I understand that although our situation was frustrating, that is not the norm for them and they did what they could for us. *Rented suits from here for our wedding yesterday. Ordered the tuxedos a while back, had to send my mother to pick them up the day before and she was assured that everything was except for one suit that was already picked up, but somehow not paid for. So she paid for all of them, come to find out 20 min. Before the ceremony that one is missing, not even the one that was supposedly "picked up". They called and left me a message 10 min before the ceremony telling us we could "meet halfway" (we were out in Leelanau) and called again with the same message 5 min into the ceremony where the best man was left out of after months of planning thanks to these people. SO upset and disappointed that out day was ruined like this. More...

My wedding party consisted of a bright multicolored theme, and when the guys were getting fitted and matched with the swatches of the colors of the ladies sandals they were walking with, I'm sure the staff thought they had lost their minds lbvs. ..one groomsman was coming from downstate and was able to get fitted and get his tux in kalamazoo at a retailer, taking much stress off of him for timing purposes....I HIGHLY recommend the very helpful and fun staff at our local business!!! My go-to place for office and formal wear. Their style may not be flashy, but it's classic, and will last forever.
