We have loved working with canine connection. The $30 a month is the cheapest you will find and an awesome value! It is not perfect but neither am I. If you are looking for a cost effective place to learn how to train your dog or dogs I would highly suggest it. We took our two sister dogs here and it has helped a ton! We have high energy half corgi, half border collie's and would not change our decision on having Andrew and his team at Canine Connection help us with our dogs! More...

Made an request for an appt, they accepted. Then the night before they called to cancel cause the groomer got sick... I called the back that night to reschedule no one answered so I left a message. Someone texted me the next day. We rebooked my appointment, I asked how long it would take and how much it would be. Drove from Saratoga Springs to Orem (almost Provo) left work 30 mins early, traffic was awful, called to say I was running late. Took 35 mins to get there just to be told I needed proof of his shots. We just adopted our dog I didn't have them I was just told he was current. I haven't had a dog in 10 years that needed grooming how was i supposed to remember to bring records. Now I'm late for my sons baseball game. Didn't get my dog groomed and wasted over 1.5 hrs driving and trying to get records. Sure wish one of the phone calls or text messages they would have mentioned ohhhhh he's never been in we need his records or we cannot groom him. Someone dropped the ball hard on this one. A simple phone call, email or text saying to bring his records would have been appreciated before wasting my time, not everyone knows to bring that stuff More...

At first, I was impressed. They seemed very nice and I signed my dog up for the (very pricey) full training. They weren't able to get him to stop jumping up on people (he's a sweet and bouncy lab) and, after he'd been to training, he jumped on and knocked over a toddler and growled at him, scraping him up, which he had NEVER done before. I called and asked what they could do to help/what kind of training I should sign him up for and they never called back. Super disappointed and worried about the new behaviors my dog showed after training. More...

If I could give a 0 star review, I would. I had to book my huskies grooming appointment a week and a half in advance just for them to tell me she needed two additional vaccines along with the rabies vaccine as per their 'vaccine protocol'. Granted, she has all three, but I didn't even think to bring proof of the other two because not even Petco requires proof of those. On their website where it is mentioned that they require proof of all three, they say that the Orem City could come in at any time and perform an audit resulting in them removing our dog and holding them in their care; however, the Orem City ONLY REQUIRES RABIES!! When I called and spoke with the ladies at the desk, they said it was for the 'safety of other pets,' yet when I came in there was a cat just roaming around without a leash coming up to my dog. This store was empty upon walking in and rightfully so. It is rude and inconvenient to ask for all this paperwork when literally every other groomer only requires rabies and the city does not require any vaccination other than rabies. The website that they link to their vaccine policy even says that the dogs should have them for boarding or training... I wasn't dropping her off for either. It was for a short grooming appointment, give me a break. More...

Part 2  of Jennifer's.  This is my experience as a customer here and as the husband.  They didn't show us the commands, what my dog spent the last two weeks learning or how to do anything.  I literally could read the book or even watch YouTube videos on what they went over.  After reading through a book for 30 mins they went to go get my dog.  Okay, this place has a groomer and they rave about when you get your dog they are going to be all clean and beautiful etc..  my dog comes out of the back, soaking wet.  No lie.  She comes jumping on my kids and I smelling like a wet dog.  In her white fur she has some yellow stuff.  Not sure what it was.  Her nails weren't clipped or shaved like I asked.  And then off we go.  No training session or showing you what you just spent your hard earned money on.  Read the book.  That will tell you! Now let me tell you, my husband and I went immediately home and tried to practice what she learned.  She does do sit, down, stay (not very long) better.  She doesn't know place, not to jump or even loose leash walking.  If you're taking your dog here for anything other than sit, down and stay you might be disappointed.  The "place" command doesn't even ring a bell with my dog.  Even if it's a platform or different texture.  It would've been more believable if they showed me the skills she learned when I picked her up.  Their website says they even desensitize them to the environment.  I didn't see that either.  My dog since being home also has some traits that she didn't have before.  Prior my dog loved her cage.  She would go in it herself, it was her safe spot.  It stood out to me when the trainer says she has to force her into her cage when she's never been like that before. The first day I put her in the cage you will see in the video that she hates it and even tries to bark now.  Tries to bark?? Yes, my dog has lost her bark.  I don't know if she is hoarse from barking so much there (she's not a barker usually) or what happened.  As I type this, it's a week later and she still has no bark.  Another time after she had to go in her crate because I was leaving the house, She freaked out so bad in her cage that I came home to my whole house smelling like "expressed anals".  It was all over her cage and bedding and she only does that when she's in a freak out mode.  So she took major backsteps on the crate training probably because of how much time in the two weeks she actually spent in the cage.  She's probably afraid she won't come out for most the day if she goes in it. She's become food possessive.  Growling at my children if they come near her and her food bowl which she didn't do before.  And when she first came home we would play tug a war with her like we always did before she went and she'd keep flinching like we were going to hit her.  That I don't know why she does now but something I observed. My husband and I have picked up hot dogs and cheese and we have been working with her every day.  She's getting better but if you're taking your dog here thinking they will be drastically trained or even obey the simple commands and loose leash walking I'd probably lower your expectations.  We wanted to call and ask them to retrain her but after the experience we aren't comfortable to take her back or do the unlimited free classes.  I've been watching YouTube videos and doing what they recommend and she's already much better now than she was when she left dirtied from this place. This is my experience.  I wanted to leave my experience because on Yelp and google you can see that many people were offered a discount or paid for surveys which is why Yelp blocks most of them.  When I was searching and reading I wished I had some actual real feedback to read.  I've seen better reviews from other board and trains some even have cameras you can watch and actually do a consultation before and after.Things she knew before sit, down, shake, roll over, crate trained.Things she knew after:Sit, down, stay (maybe 15 steps). Not trained or solidified:Loose leash walking, stay for longer periods, not to jump, place, desensitized to environment. I have pics and videos of before and after if anyone wants to see them More...

Part 1.  My husband will have part 2.  We took our dog for the two weeks board and train program at Canine Connection.  Let me preface by saying our dog already knew sit, down, roll over and shake by the time we dropped her off but we really wanted to solidify the sit, down, stay, loose leash walking and not to jump so we decided to take her to B & T class here.  Our dog is an Australian Shepard so very smart, easy to teach.  I was disappointed from the get-go with the drop off process, I felt like I was just there to run my card and drop off my dog.  The owner Andrew came from behind the desk to get my dog but communication was lacking on what I should expect.  I literally had to ask him what can I expect which he explained "just the basics, sit, down, stay, place and loose leash".  I tried to proactively offer to tell him things about my dog that she does really well at and what we want to work on.  It was not a conversation.  It was really awkward.  I didn't get a run down of how they train her, a tour or anything.  They took my dog and off I went.  The next Friday I got to come in and see what my dog was working on.  When I saw her I felt bad.  She had a cut under her eye from another dog nipping her.  That's okay, puppies can be rough.  The worst part is the condition she was in.  My dog is mostly white and she was dingy, sticky (literally) and stinky.  It was off-putting and I left with my clothes being dirty from her and I had to go somewhere else after.  The "fill-in" trainer basically read from a paper what she's been working on with my dog.  Didn't ACTUALLY SHOW me anything she's working on.  My dogJust laid at her feet the whole time.  Looking very hungry.  When leaving I was second guessing leaving her for another week but I had hopes that things would be better after the next week.  The final Friday I went to pick up my dog.  I couldn't wait to see what she learned.  I brought my whole family so they can learn the commands, hand signals and everything we would need to continue training at home.  The trainer lead us into an office and awkwardly read us a book (like we couldn't read it ourselves) on how to train our dog.  Let me tell you, if I just spent $1200 on training, trust me, I'll read the book and implement it. Canine Connection has been a miracle for helping me train my two very large, energetic dogs. They have helped with socialization, leash walking and home etiquette. Each of my dogs went through their month long socialization day training and I can now walk both of them at the same time and around other dogs without reaction. The trainers really love every dog they train and my dogs are so excited for the days they get to go for boarding or day training! More...

After getting sibling mini Aussies in 2019, I was concerned that they would develop a bad case of littermate syndrome, so we brought them here for a basic obedience course and an overall chance to get some exercise while I attended school at night. The staff has always been super friendly and it's awesome to watch them grow! The new facility is massive and the custom kennels are like a mini hotel for dogs and I love that they have retail space and full profesional grooming too. More...

I got a puppy about one month ago and as soon as he was old enough to go to Canine Connections for various services I took him. My roommate who also has dogs had been telling me all about their amazing services and affordable options, so I was so excited to bring my puppy Clover there. So far Clover has gone to daycare, a group training class for puppies and grooming and the service has been exceptional! It is such a friendly professional environment, with such affordable options. After the puppy class Clover was whining in the car and looking at the Canine Connection building because he didn't want to leave (he had enjoyed himself so much). I feel so grateful that Utah County has Canine Connections which is such a wonderful dog training facility, daycare/boarding provider, and grooming! More...
