About

Owning a dog should be a joy in your life, not a burden.

In my training I focus not just on having a well-behaved dog through obedience commands, but by helping the dog reach a calmer mindset, where they can make clearer and better decisions.

In this program option, your dog will stay with me at my house and undergo training for 3 weeks. I will not only focus on teaching obedience commands with positive reinforcement, but I will also work on the dogs general state of mind to help create an overall more calm dog.
For the obedience commands, the dog will learn the following commands under various levels of distractions:
* Heel (on/off leash)
* Sit/Sitstay
*Down/downstay
*Place
*Recall (or come)
This is a balanced training approach, where your dog will be taught the wanted behaviors using rewards, and will be taught No for correcting unwanted behaviors (counter surfing, jumping, etc).
By the end of the program, your dog will be off leash reliable with the use of a remote collar to allow for accountability in all of their commands. This package will include a Herm Sprenger Prong Collar & the remote collar as well.
When you take the dog home, you will have a 2 hour go home session to help transfer all of the training to you as the owner. I also provide unlimited follow-up lessons if you run into any struggles.
In order for your Board & Train to be successful, you will need to incorporate all of the new things the dog learned into their daily lives (for example, use your commands daily such as using the place command for multiple hours a day and going for structured walks in the heel position multiple times a week) this way the calm state of mind that the dog learns will continue on in their life at home.
The cost of this program is $1,800 and includes the remote & prong collar.

This package is intended for the owner that has a desire to be heavily involved in the initial training process, and can commit at least 1 hour of training sessions at home a day. You will meet with me once a week, for 1 hour, for 5 weeks. You will be given tasks to complete during that week, and then your session will include updates, troubleshooting and teaching the next step. This is a balanced training approach, where your dog will be taught wanted behaviors (Heel, Sit, Down, Place and Come) using tons of rewards, and will be taught No for correcting unwanted behaviors (counter surfing, jumping, etc). By the end of the program, your dog will be off leash reliable with the use of a remote collar to allow for accountability in all of their commands. This package will include a Herm Sprenger Prong Collar as well. I can either order the E collar for you, or you can purchase it yourself from ecollar.com (ET 300).
The cost of this package is $700.

This package is intended to help get our puppies started on the right track! Puppy must be 16 weeks or older. This will be 3 lessons, 1 1 hour lesson a week, where we will address socialization, jumping, nipping and teach heel, sit (stay implied), down( stay implied) and place. (Along with any other questions/concerns you have). A herm sprenger prong collar is included in this package. You will want to be able to commit to 1 hour of training a day throughout this program.
The cost of the package is $250.

Once the puppy is 6 months, if you would like to continue with the training and add in the remote collar, that will be an additional 3 weeks of private training. Come will be taught in this package, and by the end your pup will be off leash reliable.. Those 3 additional weeks are $250 + E Collar ($180).
