Personal Trainers

Marcus was an amazing trainer and friend through out my entire fitness journey! He listened to what I needed, pushed me when it was getting tough while remaining super zen. He also worked with me to improve my diet and always willing to work around my schedule.

I definitely felt stronger and he helped me lift more weight than I ever thought I could. Truly grateful for my experience with Marcus!

I joined a gym about 5 yrs. ago and I started training with a personal trainer. I was on my way to achieving my goals of losing weight and building muscle. Things were going well for a few years until I tore my rotator cuff about a year ago and my trainer moved out of state. I was in need of a new trainer and also needed direction on how to workout with a injured rotator cuff. I had met Marcus a few years ago at the gym when I took his Alpha class. I was impressed by his teaching of the class and thought he was a very knowledgeable trainer. He was attentive to everyone in the class and his workouts were tough. I thought Marcus might make an excellent trainer for me and decided to give him a try. I was so glad that I did. Marcus has been very good about tailoring an exercise program for a full body workout that always challenges me, but also protects my torn rotator cuff from further damage. He is very good with helping Clients reach their goals even when they have health or injury issues. In the short few months that I have been training with Marcus I have lost 2% body fat and gained 3 lbs. of muscle. I am impressed with his passion for working out and his knowledge of nutrition. In every workout session Marcus always encourages and motivates me to train harder and try new exercises. Marcus inspires me and has helped me so much in working out not only harder, but smarter and eating healthier. I am a much happier person inside and out as I get closer to achieving my goals and I couldn’t have done it without Marcus beside me. More...

I started training because I was very self conscious with my fitness abilities, and overall health. I Wanted a personal approach to improving my fitness abilities, and to become better in gym class (4th grade. ) I feel that I am a lot stronger since I first started. Not only stronger, but it’s built my self esteem much higher than it was when I began training. I continue to work with Marcus because I feel that I still need more improvement, and I know that this is a good way to do it. More...

My goal has been not to gain weight, and overall improve my health. On top of our strength workouts, I am now currently training for a 5k race. Historically, I have lacked consistency. Scheduling the workouts to come to my house prior to personal responsibilities has eliminated the major excuses. Due to surgery, my left side was weaker, however, we have increased the strength significantly using balanced workouts. I like that Marcus continues to push me beyond my perceived strengths. More...

Marcus is an amazing trainer and coach. We have been working out with him for over 2 years now, and we are really happy with the results. He is focused and inspirational. He is a wealth of information on physical and mental health and truly provides a 360 degree view of wellness. He is also flexible on time and is able to work out with us in our home in the night time when we are both free. He keeps workouts interesting and mixes up the exercises so we get a great full body workout - from weights to kickboxing. We have lost a combined total of 50 lbs! More...

A healthy diet is the foundation for any positive- health changing program. I mention to all my personal training clients that the exercise alone is only meant to speed up, and boost results of your physique, but the nutrition will determine the direction of the results you’ll get. Whether that’s weight loss, muscle gain, or maintainance. A healthy diet also has a direct impact on our day to day energy levels, and sleep quality.

Following a plan specific to your body type, goals, and needs with accountability and consistency. While also addressing any underlying issues such as eating disorders, stress maintenance , and what lead to way of life that produced unhealthy results.

Being a part of, and witnessing the journey of many people blossom into better versions of themselves. Knowing that I can contribute to someone feeling happy, confident, and well in their own skin brings me a deep sense of gratitude since spending majority of my life knowing what it’s like living in a body you feel uncomfortable with.

After working in multiple corporate gyms, I realized the separation between most of the fitness world and popular modalities. In changing someone’s life, I believe that we can use the best of all fitness worlds and modalities to create a plan best for each individual. At Body and Beyond, this is what we strive for while building programs that include exercise, stretching, meditation, nutrition, and postural re-alignment.
