We happened upon Basic Batter at the Firewheel Farmer's Market yesterday. We were thrilled to see that they had allergy friendly items, as we have gluten and dairy allergies in our family. We picked up several of the gluten free/vegan chocolate chunk cookies. My six year old daughter was so excited to try them (she doesn't often get to have these kind of treats because they are typically made with gluten and dairy), we ended sampling them as soon as we got into the car. After one bite, she announced that they were five star cookies! My husband, with celiacs, also really enjoyed them, and made a point to mention that she uses lots of chocolate chunks in the cookies, which made him a happy camper! We had a difficult time finding someone that could make my wife’s birthday cake. She wanted a Pink champagne with raspberry filling cake with flowers on it. Stef took on the challenge and did an awesome job. Our guests were amazed at the way the cake looked but even more how it tastes. Needless to say my wife was delighted with the cake. Stef saved my sons birthday party. He wanted a Lego themed cake so bad, but I couldn't find anyone who could do it last minute for me.
