I was so impressed by this facility. The staff, the attention they spoil your pet with, the activities and the bed time story they read if you board. One wore out girl we picked up!

This is the second time I've boarded my pups here and they come back happy and rested! I have finally found a home away from home for my pups and can be assured they are in good hands when I'm out of town! I had my first visit with my puppy here and I thought that the staff was very nice, the vet took her time with my little guy. The PAWS plan is a great idea and I signed her up for that, which was very easy to do at the front desk.  I thought the pricing was very reasonable too. More...

We LOVE Barks A Lot! Our lab/boxer JackJack has tons of energy and we really needed a safe place where he could play with other dogs and get some of that energy out! I visited multiple other doggy day care facilities in the area and this one impressed me the most. The other places were much "fancier" and had larger facilities but they were oh so expensive. PLUS they charged EXTRA money if you wanted your dog to have more play time...ridiculous! Barks A Lot makes sure that they play as much as possible outside during the day at no additional charge! I also love that Barks A Lot is a smaller facility so JackJack gets more supervision and care. Every time we visit they know him by name and give him a huge hug!This week we are leaving him overnight for the first time and even though I'm sad about leaving JackJack I know he will be safe and loved. I cannot say enough good things about Miss Beverly and her staff! In many ways this will be the "good-bye" I could not say in person when Allie and I were moving out of town last week because I was crying. Allie loves Barks A Lot (BAL). Allie knew when we are nearing BAL - asleep or not! She alerted and tried to pull out of harness; literally running to the door to be greeted once I pulled in. Allie is very bright! Energetic x 5 and they were so patient and loving. I had few medical emergencies and Miss Beverly never said I cannot keep Allie on short notices. Beverly and her staff became a part of our extended family. Compassion like that for the furr-baby parent goes above the call of duty. Beverly helps her clients (the humans) stay on top of shot records with reminders - not only helping my baby stay safe, but all the other furr-babies are safer. The grooming and nail maintenance were so helpful. Having had a bad experience at a chain grooming location - Allie became fearful about nail trims. Never once did she need to be taken to a vet for sedation while under BAL's care - that is how much Allie trusted the people at BAL. Barks a lot basically has become my dog's second home. I recently got a promotion at work and my hours away from home increased. They provide me with somewhere safe and fun that I can leave my pup while I am gone, worry free. The facility is kept clean, organized, and well maintained. I was referred to them by my parents who also take their dog every day. The dogs love Barks A Lot so much that they freak out with excitement when they figure out that's where they are headed. My dog is a big strong boy and he almost pulls my arm off getting out of the car to run inside. It's a great place for your pups to go to socialize, run around and have fun without the stress! The staff are always so pleasant, friendly, and have all kinds of information and advice on minor medical issues, training, and concerns. I have boarded, attended doggy day care, and taken advantage of the grooming services and have never been dissatisfied! I don't know of any other facility that provides as much play time and attention, and social interaction with the animals as much as this one. Not to mention the ridiculously low prices as well. Affordable, quality care with lots of TLC is what you get at Barks A Lot and I would recommend this facility to anyone. More...

I honestly hate to see nasty reviews about this place !!! I've brought my dog here to board multiple times and have been pleased by the owners and employees every time . Everyone there is so sweet and always gives me the satisfaction that I look for when boarding my dog. I recently went on a vacation with my husband and had my dog scheduled for a groom through her stay at BALPR. I arrived at the resort and was told my dog wasn't  finished being groomed yet. I was really tired and didn't feel like having to come back to pick my dog up . But before I could even get upset about it ... Beverly the owner offered to bring my dog to my house when it was done being groomed . At that point I was nothing but pleased!!! This place radiates kindness and goes above and beyond to please their customers . I've been to multiple other boarding facility's and haven't been to one even comparable to barks a lot . The prices are very cheap for what you receive and it's very obvious that money doesn't matter to Beverly (the owner), she just enjoys what she does and cares so much about the well being of her customers and every dog that steps foot into that building . I had been taking my dogs to another daycare prior to going to Barks A Lot.  One of my dogs seemed fearful and did not want me to leave him, this was even after giving him weeks to adjust.  Also,  I know dogs play rough and from time to time it's expected that they'll get scraped up but at the other place, it was a regular occurrence. Not sure if he didn't like it due to being bullied by other dogs or didn't care for a person(s) on staff. At any rate, I took those as a signs to try some place else.  I had seen Barks A lot because I passed it daily to get to the other daycare so I figured I'd give it a try.  Their play structure is a little different from other open play daycares but if you think about it, it's ideal as large open play groups without enough employee supervision can get out of control quickly.I have been taking my dogs a couple of times a week for a little over 6 months.  They absolutely love it.  They whine and bark as we approach the drive and they cannot wait to get out of the car. They seem to think I don't move nearly quick enough to get them inside. They jump on the gate and doors to get it and basically leave me in the dust.  They even seem to love everyone on staff which is a great sign.  If they love it, I love it.The staff is very courteous and helpful. The pricing is very reasonable for services.  I hope that I don't have to move anywhere that keeps me from bringing them here. Not sure that I will have the same experience elsewhere. More...

I have so many wonderful things to say about Barks A Lot! I call my girl "Princess Barks A Lot," so when I was looking for a safe place for her to go after a last minute work trip was scheduled, this seemed like a perfect fit. From the very beginning, Beverly, Chuck, and the rest of their staff have made me and my Lola feel so welcome. They know us both by name, and Lola loves when we turn down the driveway. The staff is friendly, and they genuinely care about their clients and the animals that they take care of.  I hadn't told them much about Lola's play habits prior to her first visit, and when I picked her up, they gave me a full recap that fit my girls personality. I know 100% that the staff at BALPR is in tune with my dog and her needs every visit.  One time she had some tummy issues, and because the owners are former vet techs, they knew exactly how to help her get over her issues so she could play with all her friends!You just can't beat the love and attention your furbaby will receive.  As long as I'm living in the Austin area, Lola will have a second home at Barks a Lot! We boarded our puppy recently and couldn't be happier.  I was hesitant to board the puppy because she was so young and I worried she would feel lonely, however all of my fears were put to rest when I saw how welcoming the staff and owner were with her.   She was well-taken care of and you can tell the staff really took their time in caring for the dogs they are in charge of.  I would recommend Barks a Lot to my friends and will not hesitate to use them again to board Violet. I first used Barks A Lot during Christmas break, I met the owner who was very friendly. She gave me a tour of the place and I was impressed. They are the only kennel that I trust with your dog. My dog LOVES Barks a Lot! He comes here twice a week for doggie day care and has a great time playing with the other dogs or just running around and having fun. We have had him groomed several times and have been very happy with the results. He has also stayed overnight in the kennels and was taken very good care of. I had a issue where my dog sitter couldn't take my dogs so on short notice called Beverly and she said yes she could take them . We were gone a week out of the country and of coarse I was worried as they had not been away from us since we rescued them . We picked them up and they were bathed groomed and so happy !! I love Barks A lot Pet Resort !!! Always have friendly service and my fur babies are always so excited when we load up in the car and head to doggie day camp ! !! If you are looking for a fun safe place to take your pets this is the place to go ! I have already made reservations for Spring break cause they sure do fill up fast ! Can't ask for a better place to board your dog. They noticed our dog was having trouble with the loud barking and moved him to their grooming side to help him adjust. A few weeks ago while I was on another social media an ad popped up.  I've never seen this place before when I was searching for a nearby daycare for our Shih Tzu.  I looked at the website and was blown away with the prices.  That same day I called and made an appointment to take a tour of the facility.As we arrived, we were already liking the atmosphere of where the facility was located.  We got inside and met the owner Beverly.  Sweetest lady you'll ever meet.  She gave us a tour and explained everything we needed to know.She has daycare, boarding and grooming available.  We were looking for another daycare so that we can keep our Shih Tzu socialized for less money with the same quality as the other daycare.He's been going twice a week since then and we've never had any issues.
