Businesses need to have a great accountant to ensure their long-term success. Entrepreneurs don't start businesses to spend large parts of their workdays and even their off-time working on paperwork and other mundane administrative tasks. They want to serve their customers, grow their businesses, increase their profits, and then reinvest those profits into their businesses. If they try to keep track of their businesses' financial health on their own, usually without the proper knowledge and training, they won't understand where the business stands financially, and they'll get overwhelmed trying to figure that out on their own. That's where we as accountants come in. We can make sense of all the data that's produced by the business' transactions, and then explain it all in plain English for our business owner clients.

I love taking all of a client's data and entering it, either into a tax return or into an accounting program, and then making sense of it for my clients. It can be explaining why there were major changes between years on their tax returns, or why their income statements show a loss instead of a profit.

I worked for a sole practitioner CPA who was a great mentor to me. He retired at the end of 2018, and he thought so highly of me as an associate that we even discussed him selling his practice to me. Ultimately, several of his longtime clients chose to go with me as I started my own practice because they knew about my high quality of work from when I worked on their tax returns.

I have several years of experience preparing tax returns, along with compiling financial statements for small businesses. I will work with clients to accurately prepare everything from tax returns to financial statements, and will accurately advise clients and the documents needed to prepare tax returns and financial statements. These records will be prepared accurately and in a timely manner to meet clients' needs.

I can provide my services online and remotely. I have a secure portal for clients that's connected to my website, so clients can upload their tax documents and other relevant information into their client portals. Payment of my invoices can also be done electronically. I accept payments by credit/debit card, as well as bank transfers.

I'm encouraging clients to upload their documents to me through their client portals, and I offer electronic, contact-free payment options. For my clients that don't have portals through my website, I will be requesting that they make copies of their documents for me to pick up and spend only a few minutes going over them before I leave. I will be wearing a mask and maintaining a safe social distance if I do have to go into their homes.
