What do you love most about your job?
I get energized watching people achieve their goals, taking new steps while learning constructive patterns of functioning.
Also, being a part of removing any personal roadblocks that may hinder their success.
Especially exciting is seeing their development toward whole-person wellness -- through involvement in optional mental, social, physical, spiritual, emotional, and/or vocational dimensions. Seeing the way that growth and freedom in any one area feeds into positive direction in other areas.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I felt limited working in organizations that, while helpful in many ways, seemed too exclusively focused on the medical model. Though well-trained in that, I've been inspired by people in various helping professions (medical, health and wellness, ministry, coaching) who think "outside the box," and engage clients in a creative way. In the nearly 20 years of this private practice, I've had the freedom to use a more creative and collaborative approach -- with consistent success.

Clients here have the opportunity to be part of the multi-faceted (though often surprisingly simple), efficient, and effective process just described. Years later, they look back and see it was well worth the time, energy, and resources invested. Plus, they usually find it a fun and energizing experience!
