It was indeed a pleasure to host Natalie (and her lovely mom) at our afternoon headshot session. The session was a portrait photographer’s dream session. Natalie is a natural in front of a camera and, it was a blessing to have her mom to assist whenever Natalie’s hair or clothing needed extra attention. I would certainly welcome the two of them back as often as possible.
What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
When taking portraits, knowing the clients needs and expectations in advance and, making them feel comfortable before, during and after the session.

On location sessions will certainly be considered. A good bit of my lighting and backdrop equipment is portable and, fairly easy to transport. Discussing the clients needs and expectation in advance to determine what can or can't be done and being honest and up-front with my capabilities and limitations.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I will continue to wear a mask during the entire session and, clean/sanitize the studio in between sessions. I am currently limiting sessions to one a day to allow time for cleaning in between sessions.
