I have been training with Donn for over a year now. Having trained with a couple of other trainers, I find his training style suited to my needs. He is regular and adjusting and ensured we train for different areas of the body. Initially, i was a bit hesitant due to price but we worked out a perfect pricing model based on a longer duration and I even referred my wife to her who is also training with one of the trainers for more than 6 months. Losing weight has been an ongoing struggle for me since I was 16 and overtime it just got worse (let's just say I weighed above the 100kg mark) because I was super body conscious to even head to the gym, embarrassed of what people would think of me.

In August'20, my sister and I reached out to Donn to finally face the truth, get our health back into shape and embark on a healthier lifestyle. We contacted Donn and within a few hours we had already made plans to meet up and have a chat of what this training was going to be like.

We were given a free trial session where Donn gave us a full analysis of our body and a preview into what the sessions would look like if we committed to personal training with him.

He has always been fully accommodating, bringing sessions and training equipment right to our doorstep. He motivates us to do better each time with diet tips and fun exercises. Circuits, weight training, cardio, kickboxing - there's something new each time! To be completely honest, exercising never felt better.

3 months in, I've lost about 6kgs which is an achievement for my stubborn body type and I feel so much stronger and confident as a person. I could never hold a plank longer than 20s and now I can proudly say (on good days) I can hold it up to 2 mins long. I can't wait to lose more under Donn's guidance.

Thank you Donn for always being a strong pillar of support for us sisters and being with us through this journey!

1) The first is a mental exercise I have all my clients do. First thing when they wake up they look in the mirror and focus on everything they currently love. A line on the side of their arm, the shape of their hips, etc. Yes! This does work. For some it may take a little time to get their heads around it but when you focus on what you love you get more of it and you also learn to live in the moment. Be grateful to your body for all it does for you!

2) The second is let go of the results and focus on the process. Focus on what you need to do daily which is nourish your body with good clean food, exercise daily, hydrate and get your rest. Do these things because your body deserves them, not because you want to change your body. You are in control of your daily actions. Trust in the process, enjoy it and your results will come. Obsessing over your physical results is not healthy and in many cases can cause awful self hate cycles, eating disorders, etc

3) Focus on your health gains. When working towards your dream body focus on all the wonderful things you will gain in the process such as energy, confidence, feeling healthy from within, reducing the risk of disease. The benefits are limitless.

Don’t obsess over you dream body, focus on you health, what you love about yourself in the moment and being the best you possible. This doesn’t mean you won’t achieve your dream body, it simply means you will enjoy the process and achieve so much more.

Sport and Exercise Biomechanics is a title that encompasses the area of science concerned with the analysis of mechanics of human movement. In other words it is the science of explaining how and why the human body moves in the way that it does.

Addressing postural problems is one of the most neglected parts of fitness training. Many of the Health & Fitness Clubs now are focusing more on muscle strengthening and weight loss reduction without giving importance on Postural deviations and muscle dysfunctions.

Muscle tightness restricts the range of motion that a joint may be moved. Because of muscle restriction (tightness, soft tissue adhesions, and neural-hyperactivity), joint motion is altered, thus changing normal neural feedback to the CNS (central nervous system). Ultimately, neuromuscular efficiency is compromised , which leads to poor movement patterns, inducing premature fatigue and causing injury.
