Stopped here on the way back to Auckland. Daughter had been over from Melbourne. Warkworth lovely little place. Topped off by a delicious brunch at Pete and Mary’s. Highly recommend.

My siblings and I popped into Pete and Mary's Eatery yesterday and were pleasantly surprised with how lovely our visit was. The food was absolutely delicious - I would highly recommend the strawberry and custard tart. My little brother and sister loved the iced chocolates, and the coffee I had really hit the spot. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe. There is space for small children to play, and I was able to get some work done on my laptop. The decor is beautiful and I love all the plants. All in all, a lovely visit; I can't recommend Pete and Mary's eatery highly enough! More...

Unfortunately the experience was one of frustration. A limited menu made more so by the addition of cheese to virtually everything. Sausage rolls don't need cheese, and Chicken and leak pie doesn't need it either. Shame as the wife loves it here. The staff are fantastic. But will not be able to frequent as much as she would like More...
