What’s your interior design process?
It depends on the nature of the project although in general there would be an initial kick-off meeting with the client to discuss the brief and project scope. This would then be followed by preliminary concept to narrow down the design direction, then full concept presentation and schematic design, and then moving on to detail design, and package sign-off before progressing onto the construction phase, with site supervision & project coordination.
Subject to the scale of the project we can also handle procurement, and this would generally be required on most residential projects. Each project has different requirements so there may be some variation in what is outlined above, but this is the general sequence.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
My Preferred style is contemporary, although specializing in luxury hotel & high-end residential design, I work to the requirements of each project.
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy creating environments which uplift people. My favourite part of the job is the concept phase and of course seeing these concepts realized in the finished project. A solid well thought out concept is one of the foundations for a project to run smoothly.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I like to take a holistic approach to design. The user experience, how one feels in the space, is an important component of the design consideration...one which is often overlooked by many Interior Designers.
