What do you love most about your job?
Watching a building coming out of the ground. Seeing our drawings manifest themselves as brick and mortar solutions to a brief.
What inspired you to start your own business?
15 years ago the two directors of F+D=A decided we wanted to provide a more personal customer experience that a only a smaller boutique design focused practice an afford.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are small enough to provide personal service of the directors to the client from project inception through to completion but with quality assurance process brought forward from big architectural firm experience
Site Masterplanning
Review of best use of customers site on the basis of District Scheme requirements. This will typically result in a number of varied development option in the for of scheme site plans for client discussion and consideration, from which a preferred scheme is determined, and moved forward into further stages (ie concept design, developed design etc)
Hospitality Design
We are award winning designers of all types and scales of cafes, bars, restaurants, from one off boutique fitouts through to nation wide chain rollouts. We are very familar with the commercial realities of Hospitality Design and ensure that we create an intelligent, inventive environments on budget and on time.
House Design
Adding to our commercial expertise we have a long history of residential construction. From contemporary homes through to restorations of bungalows and 1880 'Georgian Box' cottages. We are the friendly design team that will bring your dreams to design reality! And best of all, we will listen.
Commercial Development Design
We have completed numerous medium scale commercial developments, all around New Zealand. Single storey Strip Convenience Centres, Warehouses, Offices, through to medium rise Mixed Use (Retail, Hospitality and Office) Developments. We are confident working as the lead consultant working with others on complex multi-disciplinary teams to deliver your project.
