I have never had a vocal coach before and when I requested one I had responses from a few, but Natalia was the only one interested immediately in wanting to get to know me and find out what I was after from her, we spoke for a while about where I was and where I wanted to go with my singing ability and there was no mention of money until she knew that she could help me and how she was going to do it.
All the other coaches just sent a message with how much they charge, that was why she was my very easy first choice.
I have not been disappointed, in just a very short time she has impacted on my singing ability, she is so knowledgeable in regards to musicality, and how the voice works and has given me great pointers on improving my breathing, my range, my upper and lower scales and she is so easy to work with.
We have fun while we do it and it doesn’t end when the lesson is done, she gives me homework to practice for next time, she’s happy to help in between sessions, she’s not pushy on how regular we get together, she really cares about her students and the money is just an after thought, or seems to be, she never rushes anything.
It has been a fabulous experience working with Natalia and I look forward to the future to see where she can take my ability, maybe one day I will actually get to meet her and do a duet, thank you Natalia.

Simon has improved many aspects of my singing technique, with work on breath control, passaggio work and others. He has helped in preparing me for auditions for drama school- in doing so, furthering my knowledge of music theatre repertoire. Simon’s approach to singing teaching is applicable to any style as we work on setting up a healthy and strong sound- with which I can adapt to different styles.

Hi there! James here. I'm a passionate, personable and creative music teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Music from the Institute of Education at UCL, and a Music Degree with 1st Class Honours from the University of Manchester. I’m Nic, Vocal Coach based in North London. In the past 10 years I gave my support to #artists, #singers and #vocalists all around the globe to develop and take care of their voices. If you are a beginner in the singing field, a clear understanding of the mechanics and the main contemporary vocal techniques is fundamental in order to discover your own true sound, and build your vocality around it.
Dear Future Pupils, Welcome to my page - and to your journey with the singing technique that changed my vocal life and - like so many singers such as Rhianna, Michael and Janet Jackson, Streisand, Bernadette Peters and Stevie Wonder (to name a few titans) gave me a voice that I only ever dreamed of having. The (original Bel Canto) started in 760AD with chanting monks becoming the first ever vocal schooling.
Hello, my name is Sonia and I am a voice coach working with singers, performers and public speakers. I love what I do. For me learning how voice works is an amazing journey of self-discovery but also learning a skill that engages our body, mind and emotions. I can confidently teach students interested in pop, rock, jazz, reggae or classical music. I love the process, the discovery and creativity involved in it.

Hi there! James here. I'm a passionate, personable and creative music teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Music from the Institute of Education at UCL, and a Music Degree with 1st Class Honours from the University of Manchester. I play trombone, guitar, piano and I sing, and I write music for picture (using Logic Pro X) too. I grew up with parents both working as music teachers and choral conductors, and all five of us children played at least two instruments, so I've experienced the full range of what it means to learn music. I offer lessons in trombone, piano, singing, theory and composition. For beginners right up to university level. I'm based in Finsbury Park, and can travel a short way, but our lessons will most likely be in my large front living room, or over zoom. In our lessons, you'll find a foundation of clear technique and understanding in every lesson. What comes with that is the result of a discussion between you and me. What do you want to achieve? Are you here to pass exams or emulate your favourite artist? Are you preparing for university or are do you just need to scratch that curious itch? Do you want to learn theory or composition as well as an instrument? I create bespoke learning programs to suit your needs. My style is focused but relaxed. Fun has to come into it, otherwise we may as well give up. Part of the technique and understanding is learning how to practice, how to listen, how to explore, so that you can get the most from your learning outside of our lessons. From there, we'll head off road, taking in as much music as we can along the way. So, what will it be? Get in touch, tell me a bit about yourself, and let's music!
Being a part of other people succeeding in learning something that I've benefitted from, and know they will benefit from hugely too. Whether it's piano, singing, composition...helping others create, explore and learn to master something is inspiring for me.
I first taught instrumental lessons when I was still at school. I completed my grades at a young age so was able to pass on the expertise I'd benefitted to others. Having finished my PGCE year in music, I knew I wanted to teach 1 on 1, to be able to focus on a single person's development closely, and put my creativity into creating a bespoke learning program that isn't tied down to what a school chooses to do every year.
Well, let's start with what others have said. I was offered a job by the head of music at my first placement school on my PGCE within a week because I "just get it". When I left, the music technician said I was the best PGCE student they'd ever had.
In my second placement, I was told I was well beyond the level of a PGCE student, and was one of the two top students selected by the university for external examination a.k.a to show off. This is for the university ranked 1st in the world for teaching (ahead of Harvard). After observing my teaching, I was told by the assistant headteacher that I was "exactly the kind of teacher they would be looking for", and by the head of music that "you wouldn't guess that you were a student teacher".
This is after learning musical instruments since the age of 7, achieving Grade 8 distinction in all three, before achieving a first at the top music university at the time, Manchester. I have sung in choirs, barbershop, solo and jazz. I have played trombone in small and big jazz bands, orchestras and musical theatre, both paid and unpaid. I have sung in a choir with Hans Zimmer on his World Tour, played Chopin's C Minor Nocturne off by heart to 500 people at 24 hours notice, and performed Harrison Birtwhistle's Silbury Air to the composer himself for his 80th birthday. (If you're interested, I can also teach you how to rap - my final essay at university was on Public Enemy, the first political hip hop group)!
Back to teaching. The central factor that has been repeated to me throughout my training is that I understand people: how to communicate, how to explain complex ideas, and how to make them feel comfortable.
I know how to adapt to the person in front of me, and have been able to do it when there have been 16 or 32 people in front of me, even those who don't care very much initially. To adapt, I listen. What do you want to learn? Why do you think you can't do that? Okay, let's start with what you can do. Some people need more instruction, some people need more room to breath. Some students needed a telling off, others needed an arm round the shoulder. Whatever it is, I have a natural ability to translate that into effective teaching, and there are few things in the world that I enjoy doing more.
Every student can succeed, and I throw my all into ensuring that happens.
Yes. I am less experienced in this but I am very tech savvy and would be more than happy to teach online. I would strongly advise piano and trombone lessons in person due to the specifics of physical technique, but I am happy to give it a shot!
The front living room of my house has a huge bay window that can be opened to allow adequate airflow.
