Should you choose online Tutoring or home Tutoring?

It’s a completely personal choice whether to opt for tutoring online or a home tutor. Some people respond better to in-person tutoring whilst others prefer the remote relationship of online tutoring. Many people find that online tutoring fits into their schedule better and may also be cheaper. However, others prefer the more personal relationship that home tutoring offers. The most important thing is that you have a good relationship with your private tutor. The best tutors will be able to teach just as effectively both online and in person.

What to look for in a private Tutor

It can be hard to know what to look for in a private tutor. You want to find the best tutors but what exactly should you be looking for? First things first, you want someone you can relate to. Someone who understands how challenging it can be to learn something new and can empathise when you struggle. You’ll also want to look for a private tutor who is passionate about their subject, as well as having experience tutoring the age group you require, whether that’s adult tutoring, primary tutoring or GCSE tutoring.

What do you love most about your job?

We love to see pupils develop a real love for Math-but we feel that so many schools are letting them down. That is why we have developed a unique scheme of work which takes the best from the 'tried and tested' teaching strategies of the past, and combines them with online learning to create an enriching learning experience.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Our research suggests that too many pupils are let down by schools who segregate based on ability. There is a strong correlation between the ability of students and their behaviour. This means that students who are academically less able-but not necessarily bad behaved-are generally placed with bad behaved pupils. Due to the unteachable behaviour issues in these bottom sets, academically less able but hardworking pupils are disadvantaged-far less is taught in far more time creating a 'glass ceiling' for these pupils. That is why we set out to focus on pupils who are disadvantaged by the schooling system.

Why should our clients choose you?

We know that learning is easier when you have an excellent teacher. That's why most of our specialist tutors are UK qualified teachers or have achieved an advanced degree in their field. Our instructors are passionate about education and deliver interactive and fun online learning experiences.

We believe in the power of traditional education. Our 'Canonical Tutors' revive the universally accepted teaching practices of China and South Asia. Our specialist tutors and UK qualified teachers combine the digital power of online learning with traditional teaching practices to create a 'tried and tested' experience for your child.

Our research suggests that schools don't spend sufficient time in KS3 to equip pupils with the skills they need to access advanced topics at GCSE. That's why our specialist tutors and UK qualified teachers set out to ensure pupils have mastered the skills they need to access GCSE education at a deeper level.

An absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, highly educated well versed tutor who has been explaining things in the best possible way for my son who has been struggling for his GCSE prep. My son has given great feedback after each lesson on topics has has been struggling with in school and revision. I highly recommend Dr Tanveer for others seeking help with their child's education, you will not regret it.

His explanations from the basics to the advanced topics are clear and make it easier to apply and understand concepts. There were also topics where my son had previous understanding but struggled to apply them to exam questions, which was resolved by his explanations and guidance on how to approach and solve them.
