How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

Our diet impacts so much more than just the energy we have. It impacts how we feel, and is directly linked to our likelihood of developing hundreds of different conditions. In fact, we are only just realising the importance of diet on our health and wellbeing. Evidence now shows that it is the most important modifiable risk factor for disease, and even if you already have diseases (such as type 2 diabetes), diet is the most important modifiable risk factor to either reduce it's severity or put it into remission all together. Our health is our wealth, and looking after it by keeping our diet in check is key to a healthy and happy life.

What do you love most about your job?

The fact that I can help people who have struggled with their health for most of their life, whether it be with their weight, their bowel function, their diabetes management, and in 8-12 short weeks I can completely turn it around and give them the power back is the most fantastic part of my job. I have helped people put their diabetes in remission, lose over half of their body weight, get their cholesterol down to normal and change their bowel habits to the point where they are no longer afraid to leave the house or be out of range of a toilet. It truly changes peoples lives.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I previously worked in the NHS and became frustrated that I seemed to be trying to douse the flames of peoples health conditions without treating the root cause of the fire in the first place. I felt I was only slapping a plaster on a problem rather than actually solving it. Therefore, I set up my own business so I could treat peoples conditions in the way they should be treated- getting to the cause of the issue rather than trying to simply treat the symptoms.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am kind, friendly, approachable and empathetic- I will NEVER make you feel silly, small or ashamed for your dietary decisions, and I will work with you to find the best way to treat your condition based off of your lifestyle and preferences. I will work with you to ensure we are working to fix the root of the problem, using psychological techniques to help change your relationship with food forever. Most importantly, your treatment will be personalised- no two treatment plans are the same, and I aim to tailor them directly to you so you can reach your goals ASAP.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I provide the majority of my services online via both Google Meet and over the telephone. I do offer in-person services too, however, these do come with additional costs for travel time and mileage.
