We offer a complete service from design to completion, solving any difficult problems you may have . We specialise in space planning and layout, also sourcing and supplying all furniture and furnishings from high street to bespoke. Our retail showroom is available to browse through hundreds of fabrics and wallpapers and you are always welcome by appointment to discuss your project over a coffee. We aim to take the pain out of decision making and inspire you to make your home a great place to be in.
After an initial conversation, we explain exactly what we will do during our first consultation, depending on what the requirements are - from liaising with your builder to space planning and supply of furniture and furnishings. The consultation is up to 4 hours - this enables us to understand exactly what is needed for you personally and to be able to plan your space and come up with inspiring suggestions. We would also set priorities and time scales, supply samples and images of what we discuss. Everyone is really different so we need to get to know you enough to be able to achieve the perfect space.
We also furnish show homes - this is obviously a different process.
Over the last 30 years we have designed most styles, from Art Deco to New York loft and everything in between. Some time ago we even had a brief to recreate a medieval interior! Usually most clients are slightly more conservative in taste but we are able to create a style based around you. Recently popular are shabby chic, contemporary and classic with a personal twist.
The best thing in the world is to finish a project and have a very happy client. By far most of our work is from recommendation for the simple reason that we really listen, try to read between the lines, and lastly treat every project individually.. I personally love getting to know clients and make it a goal to show consideration and understanding for what is wanted and deliver exactly that. It is so rewarding to make the work a pleasure for clients and not a pressure.
My husband and I started a building business a long time ago and I was responsible for furnishing and designing hotel rooms and communal areas. From there I trained in all aspects of design and started a retail furnishing business together with acquiring and renovating houses for investment dealing with contractors and architects. I loved all aspects of the work and then started designing my own furniture for specific projects.
My inspiration is from great design in every field and the need to be creative and meet a challenge.
Everyone wants to be listened to and treated like an individual with understanding of what they want done - even if they don't quite know themselves!
I take time and give thought to the person as well as the project so I absolutely know they will be pleased with what I do. We are all so different it's imperative to be able to understand who we are working with and build up a relationship. Interior design should be a pleasure rather than hard work!
