Here at Skylines Dance and Fitness we offer small friendly classes for Pole dance, pole fitness, aerial hoop and aerial yoga in Durham city centre. Our classes are suitable for brand new starters up to advanced students. We also offer private 1-2-1 lessons for your convenience along with hen, birthday and Christmas parties. The rooms where we teach (Shakespeare Hall, North Road, DH1 4SQ) are all large and spacious whilst still being warm. In the building there is a kitchen and toilets. Our instructors are very friendly and encourage anyone to dance and start exercise. They are all fully qualified, insured and hold up to date first aid certificates. Seeing the look on someone's face when they achieve a move they never thought was possible. It makes me so incredibly happy to see students confidence soar as they learn new moves, whilst improving their strength and fitness. I also love all the new people I meet and the friendships we all make together.
I was one of the first pole dance instructors in Durham, I started teaching in 2010 after falling in love with pole dancing. I loved how pole dancing improved my confidence, helped me lose weight and all the new friends I had made and I wanted to share that experience with others. Since then I have also trained in aerial hoop and aerial yoga as these are great for improving flexibility and strength whilst being great fun. In 2015 I decided the time was right to start my own business with my own classes and I'm so happy that I did as its meant I get to meet even more new people to share my passion with.
Skylines classes are always fun and friendly. The classes are small so each student gets plenty of time and attention from the instructor. The venue is very central in Durham so is very convenient for buses and trains. There is nearby parking too. All of our instructors have several years teaching experience so you know you are in safe hands.

Ione was only with us for an hour which really isn't long enough as she is really great in creating the right kind of party atmosphere, next time I will definitely invite her for longer - money well spent thank you Ione

Ione is absolutely phenomenal. From the moment she walked in, she brought the most beautiful, uplifting energy that transformed the entire atmosphere. She has a natural ability to light up a room; lively, warm, engaging and full of genuine enthusiasm. She hosted my mum’s 70th birthday dinner beautifully, guiding the activities with charm and ease and keeping every guest involved without ever making anything feel forced. Her presence elevated the event and truly made the day special. My mum felt celebrated, relaxed and deeply appreciated; largely because of how wonderfully Ione managed everything. Her professionalism, creativity and sheer charisma are unmatched. I couldn’t have asked for a better hostess. She turned a lovely event into something unforgettable. I highly, highly recommend her. She is a gem. THANK YOU SO MUCH IONE!!!!
