My counselling practice is based on a humanistic integrative training involving Psychodynamic, Person Centred and Cognitive and Behavioural approaches. I strive to provide a non-judgemental, safe counselling space and my approach is warm and empathetic, utilising different ways of working relative to each client, with the relationship between myself and the client at its core.

Therapy helped me. It can help you too. I’ve been where you might be right now…stuck, wanting to change and not knowing how. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery can be daunting and challenging. I’m privileged to be able to guide others to their own transformation. My goal is to help clients find both the meaning for their behaviours as well as a clear understanding of what’s holding them back, always encouraging them to find the “gift of growth” in every situation.

I have been a teacher of psychology the past 28 years; I am experience at working with the youth population and adults. I have studied different programs to help the children and adults to deal with a world full of competing demands, never-ending challenges, anxiety and stress. I have come to acknowledge that although there are lots of excellent programs abound the mindfulness program is the one with easier implementation, clear focus.

My practice is person centred based, which means supporting and understanding you is the most important part of my work.

I am a systemic psychotherapist trained to work with individuals, couples and families. I work collaboratively with clients in a comfortable setting. parking is provided and I am a short wanlk from Enfield Town Overground station. following retirement after 36 years in the NHS as a mental health nurse and specialist health visitor I now have an independent psychotherapy and counselling practice and am approved by several major health insurers.

Having run a college for 14 years one of the things that I missed most when I left was the pastoral side of things. I decided to go back to college myself to formally qualify in the area of work that I had been involved with for 30+ years. In 2023 I qualified with a Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Counselling whilst simultaneously studying towards an MSc in psychology and mental health.

Comparing yourself to others whilst scrolling through social media or people you know leaves you feeling unhappy and less than.

As a life coach, I am here mostly to learn about what my client needs, by deep listening, supporting and mentoring to find solutions together. To build a roadmap to a goal which is important to my clients and step by step change a situation which is making my client unhappy. Life is challenging depending on what we are going through and there always solutions and ways forward. I am here to do just that.
