What do you love most about your job?
I love working in construction to deliver services in the built environment that benefit users in their every day lives.
Powering lights so that people can see in the dark as well as powering appliances to cook, clean and work is a satisfying job, one of the best parts of my job is turning the lights on during functional testing!
Even more satisfying is being part of the transition to clean sources of power and being able to facilitate this through the installation of solar panels and associated technologies like battery storage and EV chargers.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have enjoyed being employed in a variety of roles over the years many of which have facilitated my learning of all the key skills required to operate a business.
Natural progression of my skills led me to the point where I felt that I had what it takes to deliver electrical installations to a high standard.
I have a natural understanding of electro-mechanical systems as well as a broad knowledge of the buildings trade and how best to complete works and solve problems.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a family man with an approachable and friendly demeanour. I am keen to deliver high quality installations with good customer service. As a sole trader I am able to offer competitive pricing and short lead times.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
The nature of installations means they take place on site but surveys for quotes should be completed remotely where possible. For this reason we would ask clients to send photos and/or videos of the job in hand. Images of the meter box, consumer unit, cable locations and cable runs, locations of accessories etc are all helpful for estimation of jobs.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We always follow the government guidelines on Covid-19 and maintain a high level of personal hygiene regardless.
