Jan is reliable and loves my dog so I couldn’t ask for more.

Jan provides a wonderful service and truly loves the dogs in her care. My dog loves going out with her and she’s shown great flexibility when we’ve needed extra walks at short notice.

Q&As

Being able to work with dogs and the amazing welcome I get when I come to collect them for their walk. Also having a job where I soend most of my time outdoors.

Working with animals is what I have always wanted to do. I am from a farming family, so have been brought up with animals and the outdoors. Dogs are social animals and I believe very strongly that they should not be left for long periods of time alone. When I first came to Edinburgh, I longed for a dog of my own, but working in the bank full time, there was no way I could have one at that time. However, I met a dog walker - this is 25 years ago, and there weren't many around then - I realised there was a way I could have a dog. After have my own family, it was a natural progression for me to become a dog walker. Its great that nowadays, you can have a dog, as well as working, without feeling guilty.

I have 10 years experience in dog walking. I choose carefully selected dogs and take only small groups to quiet woods with no roads close by. I love animals, and will treat your dog as though he/she were my own. I use a praise and reward approach.
Your dog will be in a small group of hand picked friendly dogs - I do not take aggressive dogs.
They will be out at Craigie woods with their friends for a full hours activity, off lead and happy, and return home to you, happy, tired and contented.
I am fully insured and police checked.
