£250 wasted! Booked full valet, refurb alloys, paint black gloss and callipers white. First visit he did not valet the car, just sprayed four alloys. Did not paint the edges and could still see silver all over. Messaged to say it wasnt good enough and they need respraying and the valet doing. Second visit he hovered inside the car and attempted respray. Didn’t valet the outside. In total he spent no more than 3 hours per visit. He used rattle can spray paint and basically a hair dryer. The alloys are already peeling within 7 days. There is black overspray all over the callipers. To top it off he has now knackered my locking wheel nut and now have to pay to get locking wheel nuts removed and replacement nuts and book in for a respray. Their words from their inspection. “A very poor attempt and not worth £50 never mind £250.” He knew my position. Was handing my car back to lease company. Bought this 2nd hand to be getting on with. Currently on reduced hours, now on furlough while recovering from cancer. Just wanted my car to look a little better as I have always had a new one. Have made numerous attempts to get this resolved. The last messaged i asked just for the respray cost for £150. I said i would pay for the callipers to be painted white and cover the cost for removal and new locking wheel nuts. He declined. Even though he would have £100 for less than 6 hours work and the cost of 2 spray paint cans. He knows the work is poor and doesn’t care. Yes I didn’t keep going out and checking and handed the cash at the door when he said he had finished. If he came on the original date booked my partner would have been in and he would have seen to it. Expensive lesson, will not use him again or recommend. My two neighbours both wanted work until they saw the car when he had finished. Tommy had good pictures and reviews but this does not reflect all the work he has done.
