Mixed Level Pilates: I've been doing Pilates now since January 2018 and what a difference it has made to my wellbeing, mentally and physically. Joanne is great, very encouraging and supportive. They all are but Joanne is my main instructor. She adapts exercises for me if needed, especially as I suffer with chronic pain and attending Pilates classes have really helped me with my pain, even when I'm having a bad pain day. Trigger Point Pilates: I've been doing Trigger Point Pilates since May 2021. Wasn’t sure what to expect from these classes apart from being hopeful that they would help me with my aches and pains. Oh boy! They have certainly done that as my body aches a little less after each class. My mood is lifted and I sleep well after each class. The exercises are gentle, slow-paced and repetitive but work very well to release tight muscles, and mine are very tight in places. Dianne explains each move clearly, demonstrates what is required so you can follow easily and does them along with the class so that the slow-pace is followed. If I’m feeling a little tight and tense in my spine between classes I will get my roller out and lie on it to try and ease out the tension. I often, daily, use the softly spiked ball to work on my head, neck and shoulders to ease out any tensions. I’m so glad that these classes have been added to The Pilates Corner class schedule. I have been doing Pilates with Emma for many years, even before she opened her own studio. Emma is an amazing Pilates teacher and mentored Joanne and Diane on their journey to become Pilates instructors. The 3 of them now all run a variety of classes at the Pilates Corner and all have a very similar ethos. The variety of classes is an added benefit and I participate in many of them to aid my back mobility and ensure I stay mobile and flexible following a severe back injury many years ago. Our full studio timetable is also accessible via zoom. Some basic equipment is required to be able to join these classes and we offer an unlimited membership for zoom only clients.
Pilates
Mixed Level mat-based Pilates Classes with a maximum of 12 people per class.
Barre Classes
Pilates combined with Ballet and body conditioning, sure to make you sweat.
Trigger Point Pilates
Using spiky balls and foam rollers this fantastically relaxing class releases all the tension from your muscles using myo fascial release techniques.
Reformer Pilates.
We offer 121 sessions on the reformer to hone your technique and focus on strengthening and toning.
Pilates Circuits Classes
Your familiar Pilates moves pumped up and done in a circuit style class using equipment for those that want to sweat and burn calories.
