I called Auto Locksmith Glasgow after my car key broke while we were out shopping in Glasgow a few weeks ago.

After taking a few details, Richie gave me all the information I needed to make a decision and then let us know when he'd be there.

He was with us in 40 minutes and was both personable and professional, chatting with us and our 3-year old son while he worked.

While what had happened was a problem for us, Richie made sure it didn't feel like it and had us back on the road within half-an-hour.

My steering had locked and my local garage couldn't fix it so I had to get a whole new steering column fitted. There was an issue with my old car keys were not compatible - long story! - upshot being that I would have to get new keys cut and programmed as they couldn't sort this. I spent ages googling and couldn't find anyone locally to me. Eventually I came across Ritchie's company. I phoned and half way through my story he knew exactly what was needed. We agreed to meet the next day. I arrived much earlier than arranged time but to my surprise so did Ritchie. The whole service was entirely professional, friendly, speedy and he charged me less than half the cost a national auto locksmith company had quoted. I had to call tartan locksmith out last week during the really bad snow as I had lost my keys, the locksmith very kindly let me sit in his warm van while he tackled my lock it only took him a matter of minutes, there was no damage and very reasonably priced would highly recommend

I lost my key card for my Renault on a Sunday and Richard had a replacement key card programmed and ready for me after finishing work on the Monday afternoon. Being a key card and a Sunday, meant no Renault garages were open till Monday and even then I would need to wait on a replacement being sent over from France. The AA told me it could take up to 3 weeks for them to provide another key. Richard was very knowledgeable and put my mind at ease.
