Established in 2018, Tails of Adventure has gone from strength to strength keeping knowledge up to date through short courses as well as commencing a degree in Canine Behaviour and Training.

Becky did a very informative test seminar for a small group on the different approaches to training your dog. It had a good amount of theory and was clearly well prepared. Becky is friendly and warm and was good at making you feel like it’s ok to ask questions/make comments. She had a good delivery style and was especially good at explaining the things she is confident in. We were given plenty of food for thought and some good resources to check out/use. My partner stumbled on Becky on a walk close by to us and was lovely from the get go! We had an initial meeting where we discussed our dog and what he needs etc. Becky built up a good relationship with “Richmond” who is very loving to her. Becky comes highly recommended. She has recently worked with our puppy on a 6 week puppy training sessions. She has been in constant contact: making sure we are happy, discussing options and answering any questions we have whether behavioural, toilet training, food wise, etc. Becky is trustworthy, punctual and friendly and it says a lot about her as a person when, our front door wouldn't lock on her most recent visit, she waited at ours until help arrived (sorry again, Becky, and thank you!) What do you love most about your job?
One of the most gratifying aspects of my profession as a dog trainer is witnessing the journey that both the dogs and their owners embark upon. Watching the growth and development of both dog and owner into confident companions is truly rewarding. Additionally, being able to empower owners with the knowledge and skills to foster a strong, harmonious bond with their dogs is a privilege. The joy that comes from seeing a dog successfully master a new command or overcome a behavioural challenge, and knowing that I played a role in that achievement, fuels my passion for this work. Ultimately, the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of both dogs and their human companions is what I cherish most about my role as a dog trainer.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always had a passion for animals, like many who start up this type of business but what really kick-started all of this was my dog Keeko. Keeko the beautiful crossbreed who is dog reactive and made me want to understand her. With that I found that I wanted more and more knowledge to help people with their own dogs.

First and foremost, my experience in working with a diverse range of dog breeds and temperaments equips me with a deep understanding of canine behaviour and training methodologies. This expertise enables me to tailor my approach to suit the unique needs and characteristics of each individual dog.
Furthermore, my commitment to positive reinforcement training techniques ensures a nurturing and effective learning environment for dogs. This approach not only leads to quicker results but also fosters a strong bond of trust and respect between the dog and their owner.
I prioritise open communication and collaboration with clients. I believe in empowering dog owners with the knowledge and tools they need to continue reinforcing positive behaviours long after the training sessions conclude. By working together, we can achieve lasting behavioural changes that enhance the quality of life for both the dogs and their families.
Lastly, my track record of successful outcomes, such as helping dogs overcome challenges like leash pulling or recall struggles, speaks to my dedication and ability to achieve tangible results. Dog Walking Solo
Solo Dog Walking - Maybe your dog is senior and prefers a slower pace? Maybe your dog isn't the best with others so needs to be walked alone? Whatever the reason Solo walks are available!
Home Visits
So your dog does fine all day on his own but just can't let himself out? No problem! I can pop in and let him out and feed him!
Or maybe your cat just needs a fuss and a feed?
Whatever it maybe I can pop in more than once a day.
£7 per Home Visit
Puppy Training Package
For Puppies, to help you get off to the best start!
These sessions include:
Toilet training, Puppy biting, Chewing, Exercise and diet, Basic training - recognising their name, sitting, lying down and coming when called, Learning to accept a collar and lead, Developing confidence and good social skills in your puppy, Specific advice around children and puppies.
I visit your home once a week for 6 weeks to get you on the right track! Included is a weekly fact-sheet to further help you train your puppy.
After the 6 weeks course is complete there is the option to have me come out on a monthly basis until you feel confident enough that you no longer require my services.
Advise is available through messenger/text at any time.
Loose Lead Training
For dogs of any age who just never mastered the art of walking loose lead. Let's end the days of you being walked by your dog and turn it into you and are dog finally enjoying walks together
